@adamplace14142 жыл бұрын
To paraphrase Bill Parcells: if you want the QB to cook the dinner, you should let him buy the groceries. The hurry-up isn't as effective with the coach calling plays. If he's having to react to what he just saw in 5 seconds, that's not enough time to call an effective play nearly as often. Trust the instincts of the players on the field - they're noticing things as they happen, without even being conscious of it sometimes. So if you need to call plays in real time, then have the person playing in real time make the calls. Obviously, the coach can provide some plays prior to going warp speed - if they've noticed something worth taking advantage of, you want to communicate that to the QB. But the QB has to have command, and the flexibility to make command decisions, in that situation. Now, maybe I'm biased because I grew up a Bills fan during the K-gun Era, but I hope there's a certain logic to it as well.

Great video and your example here is why I am not picking the Chargers who have loads of talent to go to the Super Bowl. Brandon Staley is the best gift Kansas City Las Vegas and Denver has as you can count on him to make a error which helps the opposition. The Spanos family have always been cheap and they hired a young cheap trainee to become their coach but luckily for them it seems Denver hired Buddy Hackett (popular comedian in the 1960s and 70s) as their head coach. I can't wait for the Chargers-Broncos games as the winner may be which head coach makes the less errors.

I get what you are trying to say in this video along with the sentiment you are trying to explain but, football is a team sport. I guarantee you Everett was not the only guy gassed on the offensive. You got lineman and the QB also running up and down the field that do not get the same luxury that skill players do to rotate in and out the series. More importantly in a team sport like football, players more or less owe it to their teammates to push through those moments. Come playoff time when every team is hurt and beat up you got to suck it up and play, but that's kind of the reason why winners find a way to win. Like Justin Herbert (playing for the team rather than himself.)

No, this turnover isn’t on Staley or herb or the tightend. Give credit where it’s due. This is what madden players will call a user lurk. The chiefs rookie cornerback Watson was getting picked on and cooked all night. Herb had Willie gay in his face and the receiver LOOKED OPEN. Herb threw to the seemingly open receiver, only for Watson to have baited the throw & jumped right in front of the receiver for a pick six. GIVE CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE! Everybody was tired and gassed at that point. Did you see the game!? It was a fight to the end. The chiefs defense made an opportunistic play on the ball that won the game. That should be the narrative of this play & nothing less. I get it, you wanna keep Herbert as a babyface here. Look, he still looked strong and the chiefs are still undefeated. Win for both sides. Prime Attitude era level booking. No need for this babyface sympathy narrative for the chargers.
