Hi, it's gona be a longer one... but it's my first comment so be patient with me :) and I'll still try to make it short. Maybe You are "the world's worst milionair in trainig"... but, the content you make, is a different univers, that has influenced me. Not only in the truth about the amount of drinking coffee... since I started, I'm brewing my coffee in 4 different ways... not at onec... does'nt mastter... I like coffee... but I like wood. But far more important was the video "New Life" posted 4 month's ago...it made me realize a lot of things. For most I love my kid's and wife... but in my 39 years of life, I never did something for me, or realised any of my goals. It would be a long story, but simply to put it, belive, me... as a healing workaholic, I only made what was expected of me. And in the last Year, Mark and Your channel made my heart work a bit different, it gave me some lil amount of dopamine... a belife I cane do something I like. And it's hard... I mean, I do it only at night's in my garage, where the temperature is slightly higher the that outside, and haveing a stray cat-companion. But I like it. Since the 3 months I started I made maybe 3 small project's. But they are my scale of succes, and a proof I finaly can creat something with my own hand's, and not hear the evel whisper in the back of my head: "... still you owe it to..."... So maybe now, since the crisys continues, and my worke place is in danger, I'll try to learn as much as possible to learn the idea of "joining peaces of wood to other peaces of wood"... and create. This video and Your thout's gave me the power and will to go in my shops today - after a week's break - and get motivated. And I'll start by organizeing my 16m2 meters of workaspace and finaly build my workbench.. gonna make pictures and record it... dont know if I ever post it enywere or use it... but I'll try and learn... hope to feel some more dopamine in the future.. Thank You Jesper and wish You all the best in the started 2024. Hope my 40th year on this planet will allowe me to be a woodworker.

Hey, thanks for taking the time for such a heartfelt comment. It's amazing to hear how my channel and, of course, coffee, have positively impacted you. Keep up the woodworking, especially in those late-night garage sessions. Your projects are your success stories, and each piece is a step towards fulfilling your dreams. Keep brewing both coffee and creativity! ☕🛠️

Nicely said! You too seem to be 'on the level' in terms of being and recognizing the magnificence that resides in humans. I can honestly say that I too have been moved by both these inspirational and capable men and am for the first time in a LONG time excited about what my future can potentially look like in terms of finding my own 'niche' in this beautiful world called woodworking! I've just recently lost my job and have been in a bit of a funk due to lack of purpose and direction at the ripe old age of 43. I can't possibly describe the feeling I've got right now thanks to Jesper, Mark and yourself. Thanks for sharing the kind words and genuine sentiments. Your post was the proverbial icing on the cake this past few hours/series of videos was for me! And thank you Jesper for your generosity in sharing your knowledge with the rest of us! I can't wait to go find some more pallets tomorrow!! 😊 🙏🏽✌🏽

If you have a Dremel type tool, you can use a router tip to cut things out the way these CNC and box laser cutters do. Takes longer, your hand gets shaky from the vibration. And, the level of satisfaction from making it by hand is off the charts. Easier than crochet, especially easier than crocheted i-cord and Tunisian crochet. You got this! 👍

So you listened to us and finished it! And finished the lamp! It turned out perfect! Thank you for giving me laughs and smiles every time I see any of your videos. Your humor is very close to my heart and warming! I wish you made the content a little more often! But I know myself how tedious it is. COOL!!! Love the Lamp!!! I used to build and design furniture/equipment for severely disabled kids, only because what they sold in catalogs were so expensive, and we’d look at some of the things and say, we could do that. I worked in a school district and budgets were always tight for certain programs. We didn’t make anything fancy, and used regular plywood for a time, after we’d gotten a little better at some of the projects we undertook, we moved up to birch. It was always fun creating, and doing things that helped kids with their challenges. And glad to say, never sawed off a finger, though I did staple my thumb. Ouch.

I’ve been a lighting designer for 30 years, I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve been asked to copy a Poulsen artichoke fixture. Making one for yourself will probably go unnoticed by the Louis Poulsen foundation, selling them for a while might work out for you too. Be prepared for the cease and desist letter. Be prepared for the copyright lawsuit. It’s not a matter of “if” it’s a matter of “when” they go after you.

Copyright is just for words, songs, etc. To own the rights to design you need to be granted a patent design application by the Patent office. While I was kid, I was impressed by the woodwork I would see in the DIY monthly magazine my father was buying. I always wanted to do something like that, but my father strangely enough wouldn't allow me to use his tools, and later on my life simply went in totally different way. But well, life is sometimes quite strange, and after almost forty years, I've met a guy who has a kind of small workshop which he has abandoned, with all kinds of different projects he started and never finished. I saw that as a kind of opportunity to finally realize that childhood dream I had, to build things on my own, and also to motivate my new friend to get back on track with work. And so, we've agreed to start with some smaller projects and see where will it lead us. Channels like yours are inspiring me to go into that direction. Thank you!

Jesper... The angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection. If a laser doesn't point straight down at the work piece then there is a danger of a reflection into the shop and all kind of James Bond private parts jeopardy. Laser cut things have this one annoying feature that they have black crisp right angled edges and have a flat 2D feel. The laser cutter that can make an angled cut would be a game changer and add a way to maybe chemically remove the charring and then the results would be much more unique and interesting... but that is one for your sponsors to think about... Your videos and stories are the best, my heart leaps when I see a new one. The condensation down to "find your piece of wood" is beautiful and insightful and inspiring. Thank you as always Jesper for what you do.
