Illegal immigration is fraught with hazards. I get it, but people have to realize that neighboring countries hit a certain point at which they can’t take any more. You have to stay in your home country and fight for your rights and freedoms there.

The EU paid north African countries BILLIONs to dump people to die in the desert. When they could have used those billions to build factories for products to be made & exported to the EU. Have the migrants work in the factories on the African continent. You could literally build factories in Sahel nations for example, employ the migrants and import those goods BUT cruelty is always the preferred method for these "civilized" people.

If you’re attempting to flee from your country where you are in danger, the UN and almost all countries agree you stay in the first safe country you cross into. If a migrant goes country shopping, it makes people wonder if they are actually desperate. Or are they just not willing to apply for visa and wait in line like the people in front of them.

I don't doubt the truthfulness of what the journalist are reporting on here. I do have issue with the sensational aspect, as I spend a lot of time in Morocco. There are many make shift camps in the North filled with many peoples from Southern African nations attempting to transit into the EU. But the reality I see with my own eyes is 4 out of 5 of the refugees attempting transit to the EU are Arabic speaking Syrian, Egyptian, and Libyan. Perhaps its different in the South. But if the authorities wanted to round up 1,000 "Black" refugees and "dump them in the Desert" - they could do it anytime. But they don't. So from my own experiences, the story is a Western-Style, race-based over sensationalized piece that keeps some privileged journalist employed. These writers should concentrate on the root cause of all African refugee migration to Europe: The fact that Europeans can not seem to function without continuing to colonize others.
