HOW TO MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it??????.

I keep all my steel and cast iron pieces and I give them to my friend and once he gets about a tonne from me and his own collecting he takes that to the scrapyard and sells it then he buys some beer and comes over to my house and we make a night of it.

Great channel! I have watched you grind a lot of copper and brass. A friend of mine used to cut a lot of stainless steel with a chop saw. Short story he ended up dying in his 20's. They did a autopsy on him and found pockets of stainless chips in his lungs. Brass and stainless are nearly impossible to break down even in saltwater. Always wear a good respirator when grinding. If those metals gets too deep into your lungs they will be there for the long run.

Watching trash to treasure is always wonderful. Love the way you recycle everything including remnants from sanding and cleaning. New vacuum system was ingenious. I do love the simplicity of this channel. It's one of the VERY few that I subscribe to because most try and force lame pop music into your brain lol. I wouldn't mind a brief sitrep after the video but the subtitles are usually enough. And if I have a question he's always quick to answer which I really appreciate.

At the start of the contest I went back and started binge watching the older videos. When I got to the one where 10K subs mark was hit I commented that the channel has really come a long way since then. At that time there was 556K subs. Just in that short of time the counter reads 563K. VERY NICE. That says #BigstackD is doing something right. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

It’s really pretty simple and i have a blast. I made a forge out of a propane tank a high btu torch off amazon, ceramic blanket and plaster of Paris all for under 100$. If i can do it anyone can!

That would put him in a hurry at 1 ton. I would probably try first just with engine and electrical harness. The rest of a normal car is still mostly steel.

If you exclude the steel and all the rare earth metals the yield may not be much more than 50 kilos (Al+Cu+Sn+Ag). He is not refining so all that weird slag he gets, that where all the high dollar stuff is. You can only retrieve chemically.

It all depends on how much metal he's melted. There's some videos where he does get really close to the top, and things like the coins or sand molds are usually a bit overfilled.

I just wanted to let you know that you, artbyadrock, and the VOG, have inspired me. I've been watching you 3 for several months now and I have watched all of your videos and given most of them a Thumbs Up. I don't usually do that so I'm rewatching each to give you a thumbs up. Having said this, I have built my own brick forge. I am using charcoal. I bought my crucible, graphite, and the rest was what I had on hand. Fired it up for the first time today. 2 trash cans of aluminum and I've made 8 donut shaped ingots. Thank you. You are awesome and this is fun.
