Tell that poor delusional student to come back in ten years, after he has had REAL world experience!

The problem is liberals-specifically young liberals with minimal life experience- have these unrealistic views on reality. I can't say it's wrong to wish there was this idealistic reality, but communism has a proven track record of failure. It has never worked. Not once. Even if a regime continues to practice communism, that does not mean it's working. It's a proven fact that people are not willing to carry a larger burden so others can carry a lesser burden yet get the same benefits and live the same way. Sure, idealistically everyone would have great health insurance, live in a nice house, have a new car in the driveway and money in the bank, but that's not reality especially in a communist regime. Human rights are denied (China,) infrastructure deteriorates, (Cuba,) and people are generally miserable except for the elite few at the top. But getting back to the point, the younger you are and the more time you spend in a liberal college the less realistic your ideals are. I'm not saying young people are stupid, just inexperienced and inserted into a hyper liberal think tank. The left feels they know how to spend YOUR income better than you do. That's why low taxes and capitalism is the best system. In the U.S., half of our income goes to taxes in one form or another, and that's far too much. But it's still better than a communist system.

If I understood him correctly, he said that Charlie gives objective facts, but presents them subjectively. But that's the point! Someone else is supposed to debate him with those other facts that back the other person's opinion. Charlie is supposed to give the subjective points that defend his position in the debate, not both; although he could bring a point that defends the "opposite" opinion and then refute it by stating other facts & his opinion.
@LoganDaSlapper3 ай бұрын
that's a fair way to look at it and tbh you explained it better than anyone in the video in my opinion. but also, if a whole basket of apples is rotten, and one apple isn't, Charlie would simply state that the majority are disgusting instead of saying the majority is gross except for the one. it would be the opposition to bring up the one apple not him. if that made any sense.. lol don't murder me if it didn't.

Ngl they didn't understand what the student meant.

In my opinion, I feel as if the student wasn’t being understood because he couldn’t articulate his own argument correctly. In the beginning of his argument, he did make a point that could’ve helped his arguments. Essentially not allowing them to twist his own words against him. The thing is though, you said they didn’t understand the student. From what I saw, I feel like they clearly understood him. The poor guy couldn’t understand himself. His whole argument was honestly irrelevant. I do have a question though, in your opinion, what do you think the student was trying to say? If you don’t mind me asking.
@inetgodlike124Ай бұрын
@@djkkdm I agree that its the students fault for not being able to present an argument in a way everyone would understand. I don't think he was looking for a debate, he just had an honest question. I think he meant that when politicians and public figures base their argument on a certain statistics from a scientific studies, they often only tell the truth that suits their argument. Which is a good debating skill, but is also a manipulation itself. You are saying half truth basically. And for politicians to say they don't do it is funny to me. I guess he wanted to hear Kirks honest thoughts about it, it wasnt a trick question that would make him look bad if he admitted. And I think Kirk would of answered it if he wasn't interrupted by his colleagues( or his lawyers how he called them in the video XD) I think they would probably agree in the end on some middleground.

In regards to just the example the young man gave about Democratic run cities (for example): In discussing the poorest cities, pointing out that they are 100% run by left politicians is reasonable. The wealthiest cities are not a part of the equation. No one needs to defend any city that is wealthy and entitled. The fact is that wealthy cities are probably pretty ok at the moment, no matter who is in charge. It would be antithetical to debate about the legislation and problems with poor cities and randomly interject statistics about how Beverly Hills is doing! If all the wealthiest cities in the US were governed by Republicans it would not be significant to cite that as a reason for Conservatism since extremely wealthy people tend to do well in ALL economic circumstances! (Sometimes, it's difficult to explain something that seems so obvious. Like explaining a joke to someone. It's almost painful, which is how I would characterize this cringe exchange, lol)

To the last guy, it doesn't matter that Charlie doesn't present the entirety of the data in the statistic because not saying some Democrat cities are also good DOES NOT invalidate the clear fact that ALL of the worst cities are Democrat!

The first guy, okay. I want to talk about how you phrase abortion. Okay, let me rephrase it for you, okay, never mind that question
@conniead52064 ай бұрын
The pro choice, like him, do what he complains about. Most of us should know a bit about why our brains and hormones try to drive us to have sex. Even if neither wants a child or can’t raise one. Knowing that shouldn’t they choose other ways to get sexual release that do not risk fertilization? When they make bad choices instead, why should they be allowed to change their minds later? I do give two passes for teens because they are teens. Men and women considered adults, no. I believe in abortion for all rape victims but I think theyshould be required to go to a hospital first and report to police second. Too many real rape victims do not go to a hospital right away. Despite about 60 years of supposedly teaching kids and adults to do so. I also support abortion when there are birth defects detected and if the pregnancy is life threatening. Just no for those who think they have the right to do whatever they want or think of sex as entertainment. It has been about 20 years since I heard the news media or politicians talk about STD rates in the USA. Bet they are higherper capita than forty years ago. Condoms are not cheap. The Pill is but neither that nor any other kind of birth control I am aware of protects people from STDs even a bit. Since so many abortions are done annually, too many are not using those nor condoms. I think the pro unaccountability side should consider being for reasonable behavior instead.

I agree with a lot of what Charlie says except abortion . That should only be discussed by women and the right to choose should only be a woman’s choice
