Recessed Dryer Vent Box - Installation: Dundas Jafine

Dundas Jafine’s Recessed Dryer Vent Box allows the dryer to be pushed up against the wall of the laundry room, saving space. The box also completely protects the duct from being crushed and lint build-up is minimized due to the limited kinks and bends.
The Recessed Dryer Vent Box is made of high impact polystyrene (UL94HB rated) and has some additional features and benefits which make it unique over other dryer box products in the market. This product has a oval to round duct adapter which threads on easily to the duct and makes installation fast and easy.
Round to Oval Duct Conversion:
Our Recessed Dryer Vent Box install instructions indicate that the round in-wall duct should be placed over the oval dryer box port. This round to oval conversion can be easily accomplished by gently squeezing the round aluminum duct to form an oval shape and sliding it over the oval dryer box port.

Can I install the box in the "upside down" position?

If you plan on installing it upside down please ensure the backdraft damper is removed before installation (if included with your plastic box). This damper will not function properly if the box is in the upside down position

I have one of these I noticed the 4” dryer vent hose is almost too small to connect on the inside when I try screwing it on. Not sure if it’s the right size or not anyone know ?

Hello and thank you for your question Recessed Dyer Vent Box. The Recessed Dyer Vent Box was designed to accept the 4 in. dryer vent hose. It may take a little bit of adjusting to make it fit properly to the adapter, but the 4 in. dryer vent hose is the proper size for this product.
