The look on Paul’s Face as he says, “ Lead them to Paradise “

Such a great line ❤🔥
@NotMyFault23 ай бұрын
What makes this a good line?
@emmanueljaramilloАй бұрын
@@NotMyFault2 the line holds the entire path of both characters embeded in it. Paul is trying to fit inside the Guerrilla-Fremen world after suffering a catastrophic massacre and he needs to be accepted by that group to survive in the dessert. Chani, in the other hand, is hopeful Paul will change his aristocratic life and join the movement in favor of the natives of Arrakis (The Fremen), she is also a bit confronted by the fact some Fremen people see Paul as a god, rather than a peer. Also the fact that she is phisically atracted by him. So, in order to acomplish both wishes, Paul needs to prove he is equal to Chani instead of superior. However, that line is later proven to be a lie by paul himself, since he changes his plan of being with Chani for a Royal life with Princess Irulan instead. However, Paul could only get princess Irulan because he played the whole ''I like Fremen people" game, because he was able to be relevant and gain military power by being consider a deity. Having he said "I am superior than you all", or something similar, the Fremen would not have welcome him and would have probably even kill him and his mother. The thing is... Chani's view of life was to take care of water and life, and live peacefully, and she wanted Paul to want that as well, that's why she says the whole ''we are equal and humble'' speech to him. But for Paul, water was already a given and unworthy resource, he wanted wealth and power, with or withoud the Fremen, but he knew he had to play humble with Chani to adquire it, otherwhise, she would have been contrary to him in a moment he needed her as an ally the most. So, to gain that help from that girl, he says "I'd very much like to be equal to you" and boom!!. Kiss. So yeah, I think that's why the line is deep and good.

Not sure if this is an explanation but when they talk about the differences between northern and southern fremen, they do joke about how obvious it is that Stilgar is southern based on his accent. A question for you longtime Dune fans…what is Paul’s motivation to fulfill the prophecy? He’s got Chani. he’s The desert badass. He’s gotten revenge for his dad and his house. He’s got Gurney back. His mom keeps egging him on but at least she’s alive with his sister on the way. Why not just say, “I’m good now.” Clearly, with everything else he’s shown as proof he was the One, did he not have enough clout with the Fremen to say, “alright dudes, the only paradise I can give you is the one we can make if we stay here and fix this world up. We still got spice, which means we got the universe by the balls. And now we got all my boys in the Landsraad and, oh yeah, I’m the Emperor.” The whole, “he’s lost control of the prophecy” thing, I just don’t buy it. True power comes from knowing when to say when, no?

A couple things Paul drank the water of life letting him see everything and that led him to discovering the golden path if you want a full explanation of this watch a video on it but to sum it up it’s the best possible scenario for the universe yes he gets blinded by it and at first gets blinded by revenge and power but then the golden path
