We did a 2 part episode with Kelly as DM and a Monty as player. It’s one of our Untold Tales of Drakkenheim titled “Plight of the Pale Man”. a chapter Kelly wrote for the upcoming Drakkenheim book. Kelly also ran a 4 part Monster of the Week story arc. Monty was not playing but it’s also available to watch on our channel.

Oh no! I clicked on this episode by mistake as I'm still on episode 16 (where Wrath becomes a ratling) and I had no idea that Wilhelm is a von Kessel! From the beginning I suspected Wilhelm had a secret past but I always thought he might be a deserter or a traitor. But a von Kessel? I love how the plot(s) are intertwined. Great show! Now it's back to VOD squad for me. Please keep up a good show

I feel like there was quite few errors done this episode even though I loved the fight. If the dm or player doesn't mention they are upcasting a spell, it is done at its basic level. So the counterspell should have been at level 3 vs a level 5 warlock spell slot, a roll had to be done to see if it worked. The summon greater demon spell is a charisma check at disadvantage for the demon to make at the end of its turns, not wraths con save. Some of the rolls the countess with 5 contamination points should have been at disadvantage. Including the fairy fire. Also wrath forgot about his radiant aasimar effect to do extra 9 damage each turn 😅 But Great job squad, what an epic battle!

Did anyone else think when the countess gained levels of contamination to use the blessed mace of anti contaminations to cure her? With the levels of exhaustion she woulda been a cripple. Also PC have the advantage of focus fire, yet they never do...

The mics sometimes overload when the speaker makes too much sound, be it screaming or cheering or some "boosted" character voice. Not sure how to mitigate this, but just giving a heads-up - the sound all but cuts out and becomes unintelligible at those moments. Part of me kinda felt the party stalled on purpose when they saw the Countess was trying to transform. I do feel they wanted to see what Monty's planned to happen with it, but still, it's a bit of a "violation of in-game sense", especially with how close they were to avoiding this "second phase" altogether. While it would've been somewhat of a shutdown, I think the "first phase" still made for a good bossfight by itself, and there's the rider to deal with now too as all horror movie plot threads converge. Maybe they can at least pit the rider against the Countess now. I had a feeling the rider was the murdered von Kessel king, so it worked out quite well in this sense at least. It was foreshadowed quite well with the king losing his head and all.

Yeah it's a +3 greataxe with some spells, faerie fire, moon beam, and aura of vitality... I think there's one other but I can't remember what and it's got (I think) 7 charges. Costs one per level of the spell to cast.

The last few games it feels like Wilhelm has been a bit to confident in combat which actually worked out really well thematically but wrath has been really hesitant. Wrath is a powerhouse that greatly pleased his patron, it's time for him to be more sure of himself.

The cards were not updated, they are level 9. Rudi has a +3 great axe. 1d12 + 8. With great weapon master it’s now 1d12 + 18 which = 30

Monty also went in a couple other comments to address this stating that the target (be it ally or foe) must be willing to have the spell cast upon them, which the Countess was not willing. I just called her a victim to be snarky.
