That's what I was thinking. He should have swung on arrival, far dweller would have attacked as he passed. Getting things right when they don't matter helps us get it right when they do matter.

Here are the timestamps for the episode. 0:00 - Introductions 1:53 - Pluto's narration starts 3:33 - Opening theme 5:45 - Recap and the party takes a short rest 6:21 - If Gemini wasn't set on letting Pluto die he is now 10:40 - Time to rock 11:06 - Rolling d6's, Pluto is the only one to notice The Lurker on the Threshold 12:46 - initiative is rolled, Gemini and Galatea are surprised 14:16 - Surprise Round: The Lurker fires three beams at the party. Galatea gets hit by the existential dread ray (which there is no saving from), Gemini gets the memory lapse ray, which he saves from, and Pluto gets hit w/ the disintegration ray for 27 damage 16:38 - Pluto begins the process of hacking away at the Lurker, dealing 15 damage and using a distracting strike. The Lurkers blood then sprays Pluto for 4 damage 18:35 - Round 1: Everyone gets hit w/ the existential dread ray 19:07 - Galatea's hold monster fails and she takes 14 points of damage as she slips further into existential dread 19:59 - Gemini (and all of us) takes ego damage from Monty's words 21:57 - Pluto takes 14 points of damage from dealing 26 to the Lurker, using another distracted strike (since noone used the last one). More of the Lurker's blood spews out dealing 6 points of necrotic damage to him 23:48 - Round 2: The Lurker on the Threshold fires more beams, Galatea get hit w/ more dread, Pluto fails against the memory ray, not that it changes much, and Gemini gets hit by the contamination ray, which he saves from 25:15 - Galatea continues to have mental breakdown and her despair cast polymorph on Pluto, turning him into a T-rex. She takes 10 damage form casting the spell 27:50 - Gemini cast hex on the Lurker then eldritch blast it for 16 damage which causes more blood to spew out onto Pluto for 18 damage 29:06 - Spaceasaures Rex takes a ite out of the Lurker for 28 damage blooding the Lurker on the Threshold 29:53 - Round 3: Galatea gets hit w/ even more existential dread, Pluto takes 8 damage from the contaminating ray, while Gemini saves from the memory ray 31:55 - Galatea's existential crisis causes her to question how great she is 33:03 - Gemini launches himself at the Lurker, which takes an attack opportunity at him dealing 12 damage to him and restraining him. Gemini still hit the aberration for 21 damage and adding a +8 to his AC, while also taking 4 necrotic damage form its blood 36:15 - Pluto-Rex chomps down on the Lurker for 30 damage then another 34 damage as it moves away w/ a restrained Gemini 37:08 - Round 4: The Lurker on the Threshold fires a contamination ray at Galatea, who saves. Then tries to rip apart Gemini w/ a critical hit, which becomes miss with a silvery barbs 38:58 - Galatea vortex warps Pluto over to the Lurker, now that her crisis is over 39:31 - Gemini slashes at the Lurker for 18 damage and another AC boost (+3) as him and Pluto take 9 damage form its contaminated blood 40:38 - Pluto fails to bite down on the Lurker 41:07 - Round 5: The Lurker on the Threshold sends another barrage of beams out, Plutosaurus Rex get hit w/ existential dread (can he even experience existential dread w/ an Int of 2?), Galatea takes 27 damage from the disintegration ray, and Gemini takes 16 damage and a lvl of contamination) 43:04 - Galatea ashes The Lurker on the Threshold w/ a fireball - Combat ends 44:21 - Harvesting Parts: They take the eyes, bones, and hide 45:40 - Arriving at the Shatter Star Forge 46:48 - Oh look, it's the monster in the book 49:00 - Initiative is rolled 49:54 - Round 1: Gemini cast psychic lance on the mutated Elmenkienen, it saves and is immune to psychic damage 51:25- The Far Dweller plucks Pluto's strings and he tries to attack Galatea, which she shields. It then cast siphon time (PG 196, SCGD), Pluto is the only one that fails, giving Elmenkainen an extra action which it uses to mind scramble everyone. Gemini takes 21 damage and Pluto and Galatea take 10 54:39 - Galatea activates her bladesong then fireballs the Far Dweller, which vanishes further into the Space Between Worlds 56:14 - Pluto fails to save from the siphoning of time 56:36 - Round 2; Gemini holds an eldritch blast until the Dweller returns, dealing 11 damage to it 58:34 - Elmenkainen fails to control galatea, so it hits Gemini w/ a contaminating touch dealing 15 damage. It then cast comet shards on Gemini, dealing 30 damage and pushing him 30 ft 1:00:48 - Galatea hits twice, once w/ booming and a regular attack dealing a total of 18 damage 1:01:46 - Pluto decides to not save from the time siphon and opts to throw a javelin at the aberration. Scoring a critical hit, causing the Dweller to vanish further into the Space Between Worlds 1:02:43 - Round 3: Gemini drinks a potion and starts swimming back to the forge 1:03:07 - The Far Dweller fails to control and hit Galatea so it comet shards her for 30 damage and pushes her back 30 ft 1:04:53 - Galatea fails to slow the disfigured Elmenkainen 1:06:21 - Gemini hexes Elmenkainen and starts blastin hitting and then critting, the hit deals 12 damage but the Dweller vanishes avoiding the crit 1:07:00 - The Far Dweller reappears and comet shards Galatea twice for 20 damage and Gemini once for 10 damage, both are moved. It then makes Gemini attack Galatea, the attack misses 1:08:55 - Galatea summons an air elemental it hits dealing 24 damage and causes the Dweller to loses concentration on siphon time 1:12:02 - Round 5: Gemini's eldritch blast goes wide (I don't know if Monty missed the Far Dwellers turn or if I missed it take the dodge action) 1:13:00 - Pluto manages to slay Elmenkainen by ripping out its spine (which is metal as hell) 1:15:53 - Getting the remaining parts for The Sword Between Worlds 1:16:58 - Forging The Sword Between Worlds 1:18:34 - The Sword Between Worlds 1:20:08 - Pluto throws the Sword Between Worlds into the endless void of the Space Between Worlds (This is actually painful to write) 1:21:53 - Flashback ends (Sebastian took damage from hearing what Pluto did w/ The Sword Between Worlds) 1:24:28 - Game ends (plus shout outs) 1:25:24 - Good advice Jill + Shout out continues 1:28:44 - Patrons

KZbin glitched and I lost my comment :( Now I need to remember what I had written for the first 3/4 of it. I was only able to watch the first 30 or so minutes of the premiere because I have a streamed game that starts at 7 pm and I need to be ready for sound check and stuff by about 6:40. I just finished listening to the rest at work. Now I forget the ability and stuff... I had written it right away... Existential Crises? I didn't like that there was no saving throw or anything for it. I prefer abilities that need rolls of some sort and not that hit every time. The players seemed to think it was fun, but would get upset if I just kept rolling the same power and had no chance to save against it for a whole combat. 😅 .... and Pluto threw away the sword. lol Moral of the story... don't throw your sword. (Or does Pluto now want to make this sword in current time...) My understanding is that these episodes were play tests of the monsters and crafting system, on top of showcasing them. Was anything changed after the Pluto's tall tales series?

@57:00 No. The halving the distance is the key on this one. No time counted. If you add 1s as time, this closing to infinity paradox vanishes. 50% times remaining distance. Like from 1m -> 0,5m -> 0,25m -> 0,125m -> ... -> infinity close, never reaching target, (1+sum n -> inf [1/2]^n)m = 2m. So we are nearing 2m distance, but never quite getting there. Not meters per second. with 1 second jumps 1m/s means: 1m -> 2m -> 3m -> ... -> infinity (large), if opponent has speed less than 1m/s, then larger speed gaughts it at some point.
