Did you ever run into any problems with the top of the hot plate having white spots you can't remove kind of like it's peeling??? I already received a replacement o fthe main steamer but it just developed again. I have been using a large baby bottle steamer+dryer for 3+years and that things hot plate is still going strong no blemishes whatsover, any ideas??

What does CALC mean on this machine??

CALC indicates when you have to descale the Duo Meal Station. It will be lit red once in a while to remind them to do it and eliminate the mineral residue (usually white) stuck at the bottom of the steaming unit.

I tried to clean the bottom with hot water. Kitchen towel etc and it still wont go away. Is there a way to descale it?

To descale it, simply pour a cup of white vinegar and water in the base. Let it sit for a couple of hours and rinse it off. Then, press OK for 5 seconds to turn CALC off. CALC will light back on after a certain number of uses to remind you to repeat the operation and keep your food processor clean. Do not hesitate if you have any additional questions.
