So with that said I give her the support she needs by picking up the slack at home. I work, I get the kiddos fed, I do 90% of all the grocery shopping and I do the laundry and dishes. Trust me not a lazy bone in this body I prefer being hands on with tasks around the house and work. Lacey is more of the House guru and edits all our reactions. I just don’t think I could handcuff myself to the computer and be dedicated to the whole process. Like all marriages everybody has their niche and we have ours. The reason Lacey stayed up all night is because we fell behind on our commitment to the channel because Lacey was sick and we weren’t able to film. Lacey and I decided to keep our commitment to getting that episode out because we love very much our followers. There is something to be said about how we feel about our followers of the channel. I don’t watch many reaction channels but I feel we really try to be apart of each and everyone who watches (family like) lives. This was a hobby we undertook because I was having surgery major surgery to my knee and thought why not while I am off and recovering let’s try this out. Well then we met many people who we adore and kept finding more and more people who we have found to be so kind and awesome. So that said we are here to stay. As we keep going along I feel we will be even better as time moves along. The followers is exactly why we do this now. Something that I just realized in my rewatchiing of this episode. Shane was probably mostly resigned to being under Rick's leadership after their fiht and his talk. He had agreed to come back, and although he was a loose cannon, he respected his friend enough to give him that. However, seeing Rick waiver on killing Randall, he made that comment that Rick cares more about letting Randall go than about being a father to his own son. Then Lori came with her little speech, and that whole comment "and not just you", uh yea, that was the final straw. you could almost see the links being put together in Shane's head. This was the final confirmation he needed to feel that rick needed to go. I never realized how everything fell in place until now. But of course, like you said, Rick already knew Shane wasn't fully to be trusted anymore, and anyone with half a brain could see that a padlocked barn and handcuffs still linked was suspicious. Okay sure he could possibly pop his thumb out of joint or somehow slip out the cuffs, but also to get out the barn with no other obvious signs? Anyway, I love how they played it out, these little details just point to Shane's irrational and careless thought process at this point. He wasn't thinking with the mind of a cop who should know better than anyone how to lay out a crime scene, but with the mind of a man whose fractured emotional state just peaked. After seeing Carl time and time again in the past few days putting himself in danger, and he always went to Shane with those problems, Shane felt more and more protective of the child. Great episode, Jon Bernthal's acting and Andrew Lincoln's acting was great here!

@TomTomson815 жыл бұрын
I think Shane did not shoot Rick in the end. He has no problem shooting at unarmed people. Had he really wanted, he would have shot immediately. The love for Lorie and Carl made him sick. He thought Rick was too weak to protect his family because he lacked the ruthlessness of doing what was necessary. So he provokes Rick instead of killing him to do what he needs to do. Kill his best friend. That makes it hard for the future. Because if you do something like that, you'll do everything later. Shane knew he could not have Lorie anymore, whether Rick lives or dies. So he does what he does. He lowers the gun and Rick kills him ice cold after he tells him that everything can turn out okay. That was the first step to Badass Rick. Lauri wanted it all just like that. She wanted that to escalate between the two because Rick would never have gone that far. Shane had to become even more threatening.

Great thoughts about Carl in the pre-episode discussion. I wrote more or less a lot of that in the last video before getting to this one LOL. Something that bothers me is how Lori in season one would always say things like "always within my sight" or like "don't leave Dale's sight" which was the right thing to do, so why now suddenly is everyone getting lax about this? Like, not just Lori (her especially of course because she's his mom), but ALL the adults should be way more concerned about him after they lost Sophia. Why did they all suddenly stop watching out for the one kid left? Just because you moved camps doesn't mean that should change. You'd even think /at this point/ with how much he's been showing up trying to get into their meetings or being there when they tried to shoot Randall and all that stuff that they'd realize he's wandering around with nothing to do and pay attention to him. I love the fact that Carl takes responsibility for Dale. He's /twelve/ and since he understands what happened he stepped up and was open about it. He might be afraid to tell his parents directly so he told Shane, but he did it at all and that's amazing for his age imo. The way he talks about it you can tell he thinks what he did was a dumb idea (like the whole throwing rocks at it. He does sound ashamed about it). I feel like he's trying to grow up so fast and faster than he /can/, but at the same time he feels so bad about it. Ngl I do really respect Carl for /always/ stepping up and being honest when he's done something questionable. I've seen full grown adults who are far more immature than Carl has been. I get what Lori's doing but I honestly am not sure if she should've left Shane be. At that time I think everyone was trying to just get along (because of losing Dale and the fact that they'd have to spend all winter together) and Lori was probably trying to let things go and start over with him, but also I think by then she should've known Shane doesn't seem to really truly /understand/ what she's meaning when they talk. But also, Shane's a big boy and what he chooses to do based on what she says to him is his own decision. I can understand feeling the need to make things right, but like I've said: Lori is terrible with choosing her words. I think it's a difficult situation to decide whether or not to just leave it alone or try to make things right. :/ Regarding the "and not just you" I do wanna point out that I think that's a result of Shane's manipulation. Remember in the living room when he kept telling her how them being together was right and a long time coming and all that? I think him constantly telling her that got to her. Her apologizing though is her trying to make it final that they'll never be together. She also tried to take back saying the baby would never be his, so all in all she's trying to do right by him but I do think she forgot that he only seems to hear what he wants to hear and not what she means. Tbh I saw that scene as her trying to officially tell him I'm sorry for hurting you but this is it and it's done. Maybe she should've been more blunt about it, but it's probably /because/ she was apologizing for hurting his feelings in the first place that she didn't want to do that further to a harsh extent. I love how Daryl sees right through Shane's bullshit. Even if he's going with it just in case, he's suspicious and right away. It was Dale he was talking to though when he talked about how he knew Shane killed Otis! As much as I hated Shane I feel so bad for Rick when he kills him. Carl is such a good shot when he's focused. I think because he was so scared at the swamp that it kept him from focusing, but right in that moment with Shane, he had just learned from losing Dale and that fear could get people killed, and it was his dad's life on the line. He may have been scared then, but he knew he had to do it or he could lose his dad. It feels like it really hasn't been that long since you guys started this show and you're almost on season three! Loving every reaction, you guys.

I don't think it was Rick or Shane. It was Lori. After their fight Shane and Rick made up and lori noticed, but she went to Shane and told him he was right and she loved him. Which aggravated Shane and all this went down.

1. About having a base: I would say that in order to have a base, you need to have walls. SECURE and FORTIFIED walls. Without that, there's no base. And that would mean that you're gonna have to constantly keep moving. Not only that but there's also gonna be a limited amount of supplies left over at certain locations. It's not like there's gonna be a truck full of supplies ready to pull up to the store and load the shelves up. No. Supplies run out, therefore you are going to have to travel further out to look for more. And this is where a vehicle comes in handy. Without a base or car, then you're just gonna have to stay close by that area with supplies and sleep in a safe place for a bit until it's time move on to a new location. 2. That's right Lacey. Daryl KNOWS how to read people really well. And like he said, "Rick ain't stupid." Rick knew what Shane was up to as soon as he was brought further out from the farm. 3. Crap! That's ALOT of walkers heading their way. Come to think of it, it's a freaking miracle a horde hasn't run down Hershel's farm by now. I guess that time might be up. Can't wait to see your reaction to the new season. Yay! - Yvette

I’m still of the opinion that Lori just wanted her damn friend back. I don’t get why everyone claims she’s sending him mixed signals when she explicitly states that he isn’t a part of their family and then APOLOGIZES for making him think he was. Like she was so clear. Are there times where she could have worded things a lot better? OH YEAH, but she still sent the message and it isn’t her fault Shane was too obsessive to hear it. (I think she added the “not just you” so it didn’t sound like she was placing all the blame on him. Like you said, it takes two to tango, and I think that line was her acknowledgment of that) Being friendly towards a guy is not a sign you want to fuck them and it definitely doesn’t make you responsible for them flying off the handle. I don’t like Lori either but my MAIN issue with her is how she acts AFTER Shane dies, not before.

I really love watching y'alls reactions! You give serious & intelligent thought to all the info you're given. In answer to today's question about whether I'd give trust & ask questions first or shot first, I think that if you make it a year in those circumstances then I think that you'd have a whole new set of skills. I think that you'd have REALLY honed down the ability to read people & to read those intentions. We already have these abilities but our current circumstances do demand us to have that sharpened but if our wits was all was between us & certain death you can bet we'd smarten up with that! 😊😊

I love the way Rick looked at Daryl when he said he couldn't find a single track of Randall. It's edited out of this video but Rick figured it out instantly and let Shane lead him out into the woods anyway.
@jflaugher4 жыл бұрын
To answer your questions: 1) Trusting new people would have to be on a case by case basis. 2) I would try to get to a place to set up a permanent base. An island would be ideal. Like if I were in NY or northern NJ, I would try to get to Liberty Island or Ellis Island. Also I would be thinking about building walls - castle like walls - around my base.

Oh man...TWO in one day...love it! Yeah....these last two episodes were "edge of your seat" type. To be honest (and I never thought about this when I originally watched these episodes), but Lori seemed to be playing with both Rick and Shane. She had an end result that she wanted. For her, it was over with Shane once Rick was back....but Shane wasn't having it. Over time, she knew Shane would not let things go voluntarily. She saw him more and more as a threat...maybe not a physical one, but rather a threat to break things up with her and Rick. So, she wanted him gone (maybe not dead, but certainly out of the picture...and that could be leaving the group, as well). So...she starts planting those seeds with Rick, influencing his thoughts towards Shane that he's becoming more of a danger. Then with Shane...she would give him little bits of hope, that she did feel something too...but that they can't go back to that. It's a chess game. She's been moving the pieces to exactly where she wanted them....until, boom! Rick is forced to kill Shane. Rick didn't want to have to do that. He would have rather worked things out the best they could, or at least send Shane packing out of the group. A part of Rick died right there with Shane.

I love this episode. The tension is off the charts!! Killing Shane even after all that, hurt Rick. What do you think the group is going to think about him killing Shane? How will Lori and Carl react?? Do u think Jenner’s secret will be revealed to the group soon?? On another note, as far as your questions, I think I would bunker down. Only going out if I had to for supplies etc. Also, I was the one that said you need to make a tee shirt that says “ let’s dooooo it” and yes I would buy that!! Lol 💜💜 great reaction as always!!!! Can’t wait for the season finale

For me, up to that point in the story, "InShane" was my most satisfying death. I hated him from the beginning, and after his evil threats to Dale, raising his gun with Rick in his sights, which Dale caught, killing Otis, and his final evil trick to kill Rick, I was thrilled Rick killed him, then Carl "rekilled" him. Carl is a natural with a gun. RIP Dale. And thanks you guys for 2 episodes today!! Extra thanks to Lacy!! Watch the next Season Finale as soon as you can!! BTW: you guys might not be aware that every July, there is the San Diego Comic Con, where The Walking Dead (and other shows) release the trailer for the next season, as well as full panel interviews with the cast. As you know, we are at Season 10 in October. You cant watch this one for awhile, but if your interested in really getting to know the actors, the writers and how they feel about their characters, I highly suggest watching the past season TWD San Diego Comic Con panel interviews. Find them on KZbin. After this finale, search for The Walking Dead SDCC season 3.

If you have a small group it's hard but my opinion is if you are on the run you are unaware of your surroundings, cars won't last forever so you will be out in the elements and vulnerable. Within a few months you need to establish some sort of base to determine surroundings, plans about supplies etc. and attempt to defend, rather than be picked of one by one

Another idea for a good bug out location - a campground. My husband and I just went to a place near us that's pretty remote, it's not off a mainroad but a side road, so it wouldn't have a huge amount of foot traffic passing by. The nearby residents and people familiar with the location would know it's there of course, so that's the really only risk. It's really far off the road down a long gravel road, and the actual bunks are spread out in the woods. There are a few houses on the main road which could make good lookout points. The community center is a large cleared out area that would be great for farming, with another large building great for lookout. There are lots of winding roads set even farther back into the woods, leading ot various camping grounds, which means invaders would have a hard time finding everybody. The only negative is that it would be pretty hard to lock it down, considering how spread out it is. It would take a great deal of planning, coordination, booby traps, etc to make the place secure for your group, but the benefit is that you can almost have a semblance of normal life, it'll be like communal living with everyone in their own separate space, etc.

Yay for two episodes in one day!! You seriously rock Lacey and Steve! And two of the most emotional episodes of the seasons at that! I think I felt relief at Shane's death too, but sad about how Dale went out. Andrew Lincoln and Jon Bernthal were both really great in that last scene between Rick and Shane. The acting on this show has always been underrated. Question: Do you think that Lori truly loves Rick 100% or do you think that she actually was internally conflicted over having feelings for both Rick and Shane? Do you think she ever imagined a future with Shane, Carl, and the baby instead of Rick and the kids? To answer your question about what I would do if we were a year into the apocalypse, most of our group were dead, etc: My husband and his family already have their whole plan for an apocalyptic situation (and I wouldn't be surprised if they build an underground bunker there someday, lol) that would involve several family members meeting at a home of a relative that's out in the country (1/4 mile off the road with 200 acres surrounded by barbed wire fence) about 5 miles from the small town we live in. Everyone in the family keeps a decent stock of bottled water, canned goods, dry beans/rice, toilet paper, soap etc. that would be compiled for at least several months worth of necessities at the start. There's a few different sources of water on the property, as well as a pond for fishing/bathing, a functioning outhouse, all kinds of tools, vehicles, and so on. That's where we would plan on staying at the beginning and hopefully for at least a few years. Would we let others in? It would be a group decision. If we knew them beforehand, probably. If not, then I think we'd be less apt to allowing others to join (more likely if they had small children I suppose). If it came down to the place being overrun and just me, my husband, and our kids left, we'd look for a permanent shelter elsewhere, again in a low population area, away from a large city. I think staying on the run with children would be more dangerous than finding a well protected place and staying there.
