This is my version of trying to help keep the Autogyro from tipping over on the ground , particularly if you find you have to put up with less than favourable flying conditions. I was surprised at how much of an aid this was, but in hindsight I wonder if it is creating too much drag in the air. This first flight was all too brief as i took my eyes off the G2 while trying to turn off the aux motor, in the few moments that passed i must have over compensated with the ailerons and put her into a stall. I'd love to know what you think. Stay tuned for attempt 3 with some high vis colouring to help with orientation.

From what I can see two things spring to mind. You took off into the wind, and it flew up pretty quickly, however it was comparatively windy for such a very light model. When you turned you slowed down and lost lift, due to the wind speed being greater than the required forward speed needed to maintain lift, in other words you stalled it because the tailing wind was greater, or such that you lost the lift to maintain altitude. It was a good idea to add those extra wide stablising wheels , as any wind gusts from the side would have turned it over. Thus rebuild it and wait for a less windy day! good luck!

Your comments make a lot of sense. That certainly would be logical . Would you believe that my problems persist even after repairing, flying in lighter winds and using very little aileron. It’s like it’s got its own ideas. I’ve just posted another ‘crashing’ video …😢

Hello, I hope you can understand me. You can not fly a autogiro with aileron Reduce all servos to very little way. Mix aileron with rudder or fly onli with rudder. Christian

I use landing gear to aid in orientation. Perhaps an unfortunate side effect of the training wheels is they kinda act as decoys and disrupt your vision. Like trying to figure out what is the front of a flying octopus.

Big thanks for your kind words, would you believe that my next 2 flights went the same way!!! Aileron just seems to have a mind of its own and regardless of speed or stick movement, it just duos to the left and stalls😅

I’ve actually fixed it up 2 more times and each time I get an uncontrollable aileron veer to the left that I can’t pull out of. Even with full throttle it still stalls to the left 😢

@@rcpilots1291So weird, mine is so easy to fly, I dont understand why yours wont, is everything going the right way? Maybe try less throttle? I dont think Ive used full throttle on mine for anything other than take off.

Oh no bud that was crazy. It looked like it stalled badly as soon as you switched off the top motor. I know you need to ude rudder to turn and not major ailerons but it shouldnt fall out like that. Hope you get it fixed soon my friend ❤❤

Big thanks for your support, I must have over compensated with the Aileron, so I fixed it up again and on my next attempt I was super cautious with aileron movements, but guess what? Another catastrophe- tip stall even though I had full opposite throws or made no difference, maybe just maybe the aileron clevises are releasing from the Mounts that would explain the lack of control

@@rcpilots1291 yeah defo not right bud. Maybe you just got a lemon. Did it do the same again as soon as you switched off the gyro motor on top? If so next flight leave it on and see if you have full control. Or the aileron throw could be reversed and as soon as you go left it goes right and you panic and add more and it is over before you know it 🤷‍♂️

⁠hey buddy thanks- there’s a lot of solid ideas, 👍. aileron direction is correct but I’m left thinking that after all of my repairs to the blades it maybe adding too much weight to them and even though I rebalance them each time they might just be getting too heavy and creating too much contrifugal force..,???
