BUT she would come and go from time to time and she would undercook the fries so when a costumer returned the fries and she wasn’t there, it was MY fault! I wasn’t the one cooking them! I was just putting them in the packaging! The manager got mad at me and showed me how to do it which I told her I knew how but the girl that was helping me told me they’re cooked and ready. @@eunhaglosshi i have a interview tmr with mcdonalds got any tips if I get hired and what they made u do on your first day
@eunhagloss9 ай бұрын
@@saphireteutupoto2008 It totally depends on the location. I got hired right away since I was recommended by a friend. But definitely give them a reason on why you want to work or where you want to work. I said I just want experience since this is my first job. Also I’m not sure if this is in all locations but they may ask you where you want to work. In the kitchen, in the drive thru (kind of the kitchen), cashier, bagging up the food, in the front or back taking orders. Choose wisely!! If you hate the rush of making food don’t choose kitchen. If they are missing members for kitchen then they might hire you if you WANT to be in the kitchen crew. It’s very tedious because most crew have to do all of the positions when they are needed. I’ve been put on fries, cashier, and bagging up the orders so far in 3 weeks of working. Again, it depends on the location because since my day one, guys are the only ones making the burgers and using the grill. One of the managers told me that guys are the only ones in the grills and I’m not completely sure that’s correct for every mcdonalds. Anyways good luck, don’t be nervous about your interview, have your hours and days that you want to work on settled down so you can tell them when you are available during the day. For me, they let me take weekends off and work during the week from 5 to 11. During winter break, I worked 6-8 hrs a day depending on what time I went in. It does get tiring and the break is only 15 minutes. For a first job it is tough. If you get hired, you’ll have to buy non-slip shoes (mine were almost 40 dollars) and you’re own black pants (make them comfortable). I don’t believe that the interviews are super serious like those of an office job, they just want to know you’re availability and what you can do.

Recruiting is a good practice because it allows the team members a chance to see if they like it and management can gauge if you are gonna be able to pick up fast food. It’s a lot of attention to detail , sense of urgency, and stress. Some people aren’t built for 12pm rush full lobby and wrapped around the building 😅 you find out quick. This has to be really organized though. Most the time you get thrown in and it’s sink or swim. Most people quit because they don’t gain experience. 3 days and we see if we keep you. No hard feelings. Instead of quitting and not showing up and messing with the schedule. So much time goes into making the schedule 😅

I've recently got a new job at a university's restaurant. Originally, a worker I knew said temporary labor get to pick their hours, but I ended up with a schedule from eleven AM to six PM, Monday-Friday. See, I always preferred to take a weekday (and Sunday) off. That way it isn't five days straight; there's a break day in the middle. Now, our college has basketball and hockey games on Fridays and Saturdays. Concessions is an option, especially when the manager there is overwhelmed and has few workers. How appropriate is it--just every now and then, when the concession guy is really looking for additional workers--I ask my current boss for a Friday off or a partial shift to make room for concessions? I'm more of a switch-it-up type of guy, between two jobs. If I could've had my way in the beginning, I would've made it Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at this restaurant, and Fridays and Saturdays concessions. The first day here was okay, but I didn't get the best impression of the job. I'm just apprehensive about how it turns out, my time here. My hope is to get used to it and not mind the job. I quit my last one because I was miserable and hated my last boss.

@@marylee32 First off, you may have been eating with the same hands you made the orders with, but the difference is you're touching fries to your mouth which often makes contact with your hands. Depending how sloppily you're eating these "sneaked fries", you could have been licking fingers or contacting fingers to lips as one often does while eating. Especially while multi- tasking, in a rush, or in your case, surreptitiously. Furthermore, you're "sneaking them from customers orders", which produces an undersized order and a proportionate increase in customer dissatisfaction. When I get fast food somewhere, what keeps me coming back is ample, larger than expected order sizes and fresh, hotly prepared food made at consistent level of quality. See, no where in there did I mention race, did I? I'd put any employee on notice, and terminate their employment with further infractions caught doing this. If they want to play the race card, I'd say well prove it and sue me because I have a business to run...
