The 2020 Dacia Duster has a Mercedes engineered petrol engine. Superb video. In rough off-road conditions the Duster would beat out the crap of the Mercedes.

Wait, so is the GLE a v8 biturbo like it says on the side (that would make it GLE 500 with 423 hp) or GLE 300 (250-306hp) like it says on the back of the car and in the video? Because iof it's a regular GLE 300 then putting v8 biturbo stickers on it would be a realy realy sad and pathetic thing to do...

There is no GLE300 Diesel, never was. If you can‘t hear that the car in the Video is a GLE 350 Diesel, then that‘s sad. It‘s definitely no V8 and the owner just put the stickers on

Sa compari un Duster cu un GLE e ca și cum ai compara un Duster cu un GLE. Ce va tot fâstâciţi și ofensați atât ? Amândouă mașinile au fost proiectate pentru familie, comfort dar tot odată pentru a fi potrivite de a merge la munte, unii în comfort, alți în lux. Dusterul are avantaj ca e mai ușor, GLE-ul are avantaj ca are vreo 20 de herghelii sub capotă care dezvolta un cuplu enorm. Punct.

Az 1,5-ös és az 1,6-os Diesel Mercedes-ekben egyaránt dCi motorok vannak. Ebből következik, hogy a Diesel Dacia-kban, közöttük a Diesel Duster-ekben kitűnő "Mercedes" motorok vannak!

If the GLE had the Off-Road Engineering Package and some proper tires (not the almost used up ones the guy appears to be using in the video), the Duster would not stand a chance

It may be difficult to beat the DUSTER .. the Benz is too heavy on muddy ground and steep hills, disregarding its sophisticated technology. I have put Cooper Weathermaster tires on my DUSTER, provides sufficient grip on mud. You anyway climb with slow speed, so the huge Benz engine does not give you any advantage, it is only needed to overcome the weight disadvantage. The relation of weight/ engine power makes it. My TCE provides 130 PS, sufficient to drag the relatively low weight of the DUSTER. By the way: Who uses a Benz in off-road situations ? ... except escaping from police/ border control :-)))

Duster Diesel should weight about 1.3 tons and petrol 1.2 tons, as much as I know

I'm not sure, maybe for 4x2. In my car documents from groupe Renault weight is: 1370kg in one document and 1406kg in second one(good question is why are not the same). 2020 Duster 1.3 150 4x4.

Daca as avea bani sa detin un GLE 350d cu siguranta ca as arunca 10.000 euro pe o troaca de off-road de care sa-mi bat joc in ultimul hal. Cam asta e singura optiune logica daca detii o astfel de masina.

Там оффроуд это все что без асфальта. Съехал на лужайку - все это оффроуд, тоесть то где заканчивается асфальтированная дорога. А вот то что вы имеете в виду у них это "driving in extreme mud"
