When you play it again in 2023, with so many memories, and find yourself smiling when hearing Death God invitation, Torchlight, treasure hunter nigel, mysterious island, aventure spirit... The songs of this game were so underrated.

Treasure Hunter Nigel is my favorite track. Something about the overworld music changing by that point in the game just really sells your growth throughout the adventure. Its like seeing the same world in a whole new way.

I just finished a playthrough of this game on the Mega Drive Mini a few months ago. It's a great Sega RPG! Though it does get frustrating during the dungeons, it is definitely worth playing. If you want to be less frustrated, you can play the "Mega Drive Classics" version which has the rewind functionality - since most of the frustration in this game comes from missing a jump and falling into a previous room, having the rewind button makes things a lot smoother. :D

@@TodorImreorov I cant speak for fmarcodini , but i recall replaying this game a few times, most save files clocked in at between 40-50 hours, but on one save file I kept farming life stocks till max, and kept looking around for any secrets I might have missed(like trying to figure out what some book did) i think that file ended up just shy of 100 hours.

This is my all time favorite game for Sega Genesis, I remember getting this game back in 1993 when it barely game out, I was only like 4 or 5 at the time, I didn't see a single commercial for it or anything I just remember seeing it on the self and it caught my attention. I was little when I first started to play it, and ofcourse I couldn't read yet lol so didn't know what I was doing at all it took me years to finally beat the game and I mean didn't beat it will 2002 lol I had played the game on and off over the years and would just memorized what I had to do. I actually played this game before I even heard of Legend of Zelda, I honestly feel in love with Legend of Zelda because it reminded me of this game lol even though Zelda came out years before. I wish they would remaster this game with modern graphics and game play but ofcourse most will just compare it to zelda lol.

Loved this game. It was initially my dad's but he gave it to me... Made good childhood memories. I can't play it anymore on the sega, but a free pc version can be found easily on internet if you want to play it again. I remember I struggled a lot in the green labyrinth when I was young... But I found it much easier when I was older haha. The last labyrinth is still tough though. My favorite musics were "Mysterious island", "Treasure hunter Nigel" and "Deserted street corner". I loved the character Zak, I found him really interesting. It would be good if someone would make a remake of that game one day. But I don't think it'll happen... Too bad

Amazing game and soundtrack, very reminicent in parts of the Shining Force games on the Genesis, not surprising since they were both made by the same company. I got a lot of love for almost every tune on this soundtrack but my personal favourites are Mysterious Island, Wicked God's Banquet and Pink Book.

There was a PSP Landstalker game... which never came out. But there are a few screens and videos of it. What a shame, it would have been so great! This game deserves a beautiful remake! 3DS would be truly a great target for this kind of game.
