I watched the eclipse at my daughter’s place. We were getting her and family set up in camp. Her home burnt Sunday was a total loss. Firemen fought the fire for 6 hours due to high winds, it was so bad. Please remember her and family in your prayers.

We're a little bit south of you (Hot Springs area) but also in the path of totality so we were able to sit out in the front yard to experience it. What stood out most to me was how the animals and even normal insect noises went totally silent. Literally the only thing we could hear was people talking, plus one random owl hooting in the distance LOL. Amazing experience!

I loved being with you two, Miss Lori and Mr Brown during the eclipse !! It really got good and dark there for you! . i am surprised your chickens did not go in to roost. lol. We had a total eclipse in 1979 in WA, Puget sound area. it was a cloudy day in February. We couldn’t see the sun, but it got very dark and my chickens went to bed. it stayed dark quite a while, but then, they came out as soon as it got light, never the wiser for a short night it seemed. Then one year , 2 months and 3 weks later Mt. St Helens blew up. The mountain had been shaking and tremors for weeks and there were sightingss of a lovely lady hitchiking on lonely country roads dressed in a long white gown. The drivers who stopped to give her a ride said she warned them the Mountain was going to erupt soon and people should get away from the mountain or there would be a great loss of life. Then she would just disappear from their car. The local Native Americans said that the Lady was the Hawian volcano goddess, We had another eclipse here in 2017, it was only partial, but it darkened to a yellowish twilight, we had a gathering of friends and watched the event from our front porch. . This year we watched the eclipse on tv, as it moved across your part of the country. . The gunfire in the background made it seem like a fourth of July Holiday cook-out with fireworks. Did the frogs in your pond start singing when it got dark? Those cowboy potatoes look so good and tasty, and the peach cobbler sure looked delicious !! i learned something new, a smple easy recipe for cobbler, baked covered up. Wow, it reminded me of the expensive ‘Pudding cake” mixes in a box that were popular in the ‘70’s Miss Lori, did Iever tell you that I have made your Lunchroom Lady school pizza many times for my family? The recipe for the dough is the key, I never could get home meade pizza just right before you showed us how. Thank you for inviting us to your Eclipse cook-out, It was fun to enjoy the event with you.❤

We were in the path of totality, also. What an incredible, amazing experience that was. It got so still here, the temperature dropped quite a lot, and we could see a sort of orange sunset to our north. Some neighbors set off fireworks at totality in celebration of this once-in-a-lifetime event. It was just an incredible experience, and I marveled at how fascinating the Lord's creation is!

I live in Ohio and we got to experience the totality of the eclipse, It was so cool, for just about 5 minutes it got pitch black dark out just like it was 3:00 am in the middle of the night and not #:00 pm middle of the afternoon. I didn't expect it to get that dark out. My chickens got real quiet and all the birds in the trees got quiet for about 5 minutes but it didn't affect my dogs. It did get really cool for those 5 minutes and our temperature dropped way down maybe 30 degrees. We were out sitting on our deck. I was really impressed with how dark it got. It was very interesting to experience

What a wonderful video! I really liked seeing the eclipse from your yard. I watched it here in Ohio, but was alone, so this was nice. It made me think about Jesus on the cross when the sun stopped shining for 3 hours. If the couple minutes made such an impact on us, I can only imagine what those present to witness for Jesus's execution must have felt! The cast iron cooking was a nice change and has me thinking about doing some of that myself, pretty soon. A day spent with the two of you is always relaxing and pleasant. You bring such joy and love and I love you both in return.

I love that combination, sausage, potatoes and onions. It’s been a week since the eclipse, but we’re just north of Austin and it was a cloudy day, thankfully the clouds would move here and there and we could see the start of the eclipse, at totally it cleared up long enough for the darkness to set in. Our neighbor kept their kids at home so, they were all outside, kids playing on the sidewalk and neighbors down the street walked over the little park across the street, laid out some blankets and enjoyed the spectacle. Our God is an Awesome God. I finally called my husband outside and he put on the glasses to watch, he was quite impressed, not much impresses him. LOL…it was a wonderful experience, glad you got to enjoy as much as the rest of us. Blessings
