Seeing a Dutch theme park in Japan as a Dutchie is very confusing, haha! Fun details: The featured 'kaascake' is something we do not have here. In all my years I've never had one or seen it, but it looks tasty. The amount of outside terraces is very similiar to here, which in Japan itself is sometimes quite hard to find. And ofcourse, for a Dutch theme park Miffy can't be forgotten. I remember the time I was walking around Asakusa and stumbled upon a Miffy shop. I'm originally from the city where Miffy (Nijntje) originated from, so it was very fun to see it being so popular! Hope you had a good time, the tullips look great 💐

Lovely video. You seem to like the Netherlands very much!😋. I wrote something yesterday on the blog about the lightshow a year ago. The Dom tower in Utrecht used to be attached to the Dom church, but a storm in 1674 blew unfinished middle nave away and has never been rebuilt. The church stands on the exact spot where the city of Utrecht began in Roman times. The canals in the city are all part of the old Rhine river, which was then the main course of the river and ended up far more to the north, at Katwijk aan Zee, in the North Sea. Miffy also originates from Utrecht. I most definitely advise you to visit that city as well. It's far less touristy than Amsterdam.

Every time you feature this theme park, as a Dutchie I am baffled to see all these familiar buildings from The pancake-flat Netherlands, all squished together in one place, with mountains (behind the Dom!) in the background 😅 Wonderfully bizar! Next time you come our way you should definitely visit Utrecht, Delft and Groningen for even more historic and beautifull architecture, food and sightseeing. And a tip for beer loving Satoshi: for true beer enjoyment in Amsterdam, skip the Heineken (=horse pee!) Experience and visit one of the many beer brewery/cafés, for example Poesiat & Kater (personal favorite) or Proeflokaal De Molen (Satoshi can enjoy tasty beer in a Windmill, double whammy!), both in the east area of Amsterdam. Maybe I'll bump into you, since I live around there and get a chance to say hi! :-) Love all your content! X

Agree about the beer. Real Dutch beer is awesome. The best year of my childhood was the year we lived in a Dutch village because my dad was working at AFCENT. It was so pretty with a bakery, friture, castle, farmland, etc. I rode my bike for miles and miles.

We went to Japan and visited Huis Ten Bosch early this year and i agree, the theme park was so relaxing and beautiful. We also ate at Tototo and ordered the same dishes and loved it too! It’s funny coz we had the same facial expressions as you guys on the first bite 😂. For me, this was my favourite part of our Japan holiday. We only stayed in there in Huis Ten Bosch for 2 days and I can’t wait to go back there again someday. ❤

as a dutch person myself i can say there are a few flaws in that park lol for example: The croquets they sell there are called bitterballen not kroketten. the kaaskoek(cheese cake) is looking more as the dutch custard cakewhat resembles a chiffon cake with a topping of sweetened milk and egg mixture known as custard. Jopie saus (Jopie Sauce) is a vegetable oil-based mayonnaise with onion and curry powder spices. funny to see that a other country made a themepark with a part of our country only it has alot false information in it hehehehe. Next time when you visit don't go to the tourist places like most people do but go to other cities for example Valkenburg in the province Limburg or visit one of the old Hanzesteden like Zuthpen , Deventer or Gorinchem. a other tip is to go to Arnhem known of operation market garden from WW2 and got even musea about it , we even got a old concentrationcamp called Westerborg . most people only think about Amsterdam,Utrecht,Rotterdam or Den hague but there is so much more to see in our country that it's pitty most people miss that part of our country.

How interesting there is a Dutch Theme Park in Japan. You didn't seem to eat much Dutch food. Is there a lot of Dutch food in the park? I am SO happy I found a Japanese grocery store not far from where I live, so I am able to buy Castella cake, both plain and rolls with cream. I wish I could read Japanese to figure out what all the items in the store are. I just try things randomly.

They said in the video that the only Dutch restaurant was closed, allthough they still found a place that had croquettes, but the wrong fries and another place that had fries which were more similar to the Dutch version. I guess that the Japanese are not very accustomed to eating foreign foodstuffs.

3:14 hhhmmm that looks more like bitterballen, the smaller round version of the kroket. And those are indeed French (cough cough Belgian) fries as Dutch (and Flemish) fries are thick and nice, not skinny and lame. Tante Annie (Aunt Annie)L Never heard of a kaas cake (although checking some of my recipe sites, it seems to exist) and really? Pizza Fritter? how is that Dutch? The Finaciers look great although a bit dark on the edges 6:18 right... THAT are Dutch fries 6:33 those scales they made the tables from... that is the Cheesewaag. Used as you might guess to weigh the cheese. Weirdly enough "dirty fries" never have been a thing in the Netherlands, I wonder why because it sounds amazing 9:38 my firend, if you can see the Dom, you are definitely NOT in Amsterdam. fun fact, that Dom is better visible than the original currently as the original is being renovated and has a lot of scaffolding around it. weird to see mediteranian food in a Dutch inspired themepark but ok 14:22 A Dom toren (Dom Tower). It generally means the largest/tallest church tower in the country. . Famous example is the Dom of Milan (Il Duomo di Milano). Dom is also an acronym and stands for Deo Optimo Maximo.(to God, the highest supreme) 17:15 So, a yakitori is what I would call a Sate (not to be confused with Sate Sauce) stick. Looks like an awesome place to go but tbh, I have seen suspicially little Dutch food.
