Mine came with the most uneven grind I've ever seen from Victorinox. The tip was almost chisel ground.. The blade also chipped surprisingly easily. After a re-grind it was mostly good to go. It's unbeatable for food-prep, very lightweight..but feels a bit plasticky overall. Some days I really love it, other days it's meh. Overall worth buying, though. The extra kit is good, but the seams on the fabric pouch/sheath frays very easily. I threw out the sharpening stones and put some tick removal tweezers and a Victorinox Alox Solo in there instead. 👍🏻

I love the knife and the sheath system. To me, it's a knife for fun, and could be a great camp knife, paired with a great, bigger bushcraft knife. What I mean by fun is, it will do what you want in most planned outdoors adventures in a wooded environment. It will perform well when you're on planned adventures and have another tool/knife

Thanks guys! Just confirmed my own impressions of the knife. Just a hint to would-be/new buyers of this knife: take some time to view the many videos made by Felix Immler where he explains each of the many special features of this system, and how to maximise on each one! It will be a good investment of your time and effort. As an all-rounder outdoors knife, I believe it is unbeatable, and you guys helped to confirm that. I specially liked your take on the whole feathersticking issue, and showed that the knife is perfectly adequate for the job! That sharp spine on the back that is so good with any ferro rod, is duplicated on the pommel area as well and makes it superb at scaping out hollows, eg the bowl of a wooden spoon! On the drill: one does not have to have only the none drill bit supplied with the sheath "Kit" - most hardware stores have a whole range of sizes to choose from (or buy them all!) as they are dirt cheap! Well done on a good and objective test.

Hey dear dbk team, I think it's time to talk about our government's legislative proposals, I'm not a fan of third-party advertising but in this case it concerns something that unfortunately we can't close our eyes to forever if we continue to follow our passion as blameless citizens want to pursue. In Germany it currently looks as if our right to own and use knives will soon be revoked. I think it will only be a matter of time before other countries follow suit. My concern is to draw attention to the "VDB Association of German Gunsmiths and Weapons Dealers" because they are currently the only ones trying to defend our rights before the state, but this requires the necessary reach. I would be happy if you would clarify this and make others aware of the VDB. I don't want to live in a world in which DBK can only send tiny wiener knives to Germany.

Thank you for highlighting this matter. European politics and governments have no interest in the well-being of our people. It's interest is to make hard working people suffer and to cause them hardship. Plenty of illegals holding knives and using them improperly with not enough actually being done other than more rules and "laws" for law abiding people. Let us all keep strong to keep our knives.
