The first classical music piece I really loved 50 years ago; just after my father's dead, probably my feeling was greater to understand every nuance 😊

I first heard this symphony when I was 8 or 9 years old and became very soon one of my most precious pieces of classical music. My parents loved it too and they used to play it at home all the time, especially on Sundays around lunch time, when we were all together around the dinner table. This is a great version of the symphony and listening to it is a great way to celebrate Dvorak's birthday! Thanks for sharing it on this platform!

I am now playing this piece as 3rd horn, the fire entry is really scary and difficult 😢 But I love the 4th movement 🎉

I absolutely HATE the conductor’s decision to slow down at 4:42 - he does this all throughout the entire piece and it’s so annoying to listen to - the flute player at 4:30 plays it correctly by NOT slowing down (exactly the way Dvorak wrote it) and it sounds beautiful - bravo to her for refusing to comply with the conductor! - she did the right thing!!

@@plastique45true. There’s several. However the primary theme from the first movement appears frequently throughout, and some others recur frequently too.

Wspaniała symfonia, w tym "moje" ulubione Largo... (wspominam dramat filmowy "Rajska droga" i ten poruszający fragment). Dziękuję orkiestrze i dyrygentowi... 💕💐

@@DWClassicalMusic I find it odd that the channel would post such a comment...There is a translation function. I like it when people express themselves in their own language.
