The first classical music piece I really loved 50 years ago; just after my father's dead, probably my feeling was greater to understand every nuance 😊

@@DWClassicalMusic I find it odd that the channel would post such a comment...There is a translation function. I like it when people express themselves in their own language.
@@ahfei6847 yes... also it's suspicious that they made this comment only towards post in Polish language... @DWCM - warum dann nicht "English only" als "Reglement" ah, dass kommt aus den franzoesischen, dann besser "Ordnung" machen? Am besten Preussische Ordnung! ;)

The modern and dynamic performance is wonderful. The nostalgic expression part is also good. I have visited Zurich several times. I'm happy to know that there is such a wonderful orchestra.

I first heard this symphony when I was 8 or 9 years old and became very soon one of my most precious pieces of classical music. My parents loved it too and they used to play it at home all the time, especially on Sundays around lunch time, when we were all together around the dinner table. This is a great version of the symphony and listening to it is a great way to celebrate Dvorak's birthday! Thanks for sharing it on this platform!

First I ever heard this symphony was in Barbie as Rapunzel in 2002 as a very small child but it awakened a great love of symphonic and classical music that has stayed true to this day, I am now an avid audience member in my local thearter with the KSO. They are doing this piece later this season and im very very excited. :)

I absolutely HATE the conductor’s decision to slow down at 4:42 - he does this all throughout the entire piece and it’s so annoying to listen to - the flute player at 4:30 plays it correctly by NOT slowing down (exactly the way Dvorak wrote it) and it sounds beautiful - bravo to her for refusing to comply with the conductor! - she did the right thing!!
@konpolski476520 күн бұрын
you right, the conductor wanted to show himself too much... these slowdowns make the piece play out of balance...
