Wonderful player. Amazed he made it to 300 games throwing his body around like he did. I remember Gerard Healy saying he had "no self preservation instinct whatsoever" while commentating. Spot on.

Won of the best highlight reels I’ve watched.! Wanganeen was a favourite of mine as a kid, went to a fair few bomber games in that era. What Wanganeen produced wasn’t just class… it was magic. Even for his size, his aerial ability made him tall. A complete footballer.

Great collection of highlights, he was amazing to watch. I had number 4 on my jumper because of him, he was my favourite player. I thought you may have been able to squeeze in the footage of him kicking the winning goal against Melbourne in 1992 ANZAC Day game, after we were 48 points down at 3/4 time. It wasn't a TV broadcasted match, but there is footage of the last quarter here on KZbin with radio commentary. He was about 50 metres out and banged it through with tired legs to give the lead!

I've been collecting Essendon matches for the last 15 years or so, got a huge catalogue now, mostly wins but a few losses in there as well (I only use the losses for videos like this when I need specific highlights from a player)
