My nephew just gave me this particular drone, I’m hoping to use it to enhance my own KZbin channel. Thanks for great video!!

I like mine, I do wish it had a bit more range though. Also, I have found that if you are using an iphone, you need to be sure the drone is the strongest wifi signal the phone sees. Otherwise, the phone will switch wifi connections and you will lose video to the phone. Controls and recording still work fine, you just won't have live video to the phone. Thanks for watching, Brad!

@dwcoffey5 жыл бұрын
Hi Kenny! Thanks for watching! I think this is a good drone to start off with. It's my first and so far, I really like it. The only thing I wish was different is the battery charge time. It takes them about 5 hours to charge for about 15-20 minutes of flight time. I'm glad my wife bought 2 batteries!

So happy to have watched your video on this, ordered one earlier today! Would love to see a video on your navigation progress. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for watching! I'll do my best to get a vid put together. I'm still working on my nav skills though. The other day, I lost sight of the drone....could hear it, but couldn't see it. After trying to maneuver it so I could see it again several times, I gave up and hit the 'home' button. That got it back to me so I could take over the flight again.

Thanks Dennis this was very helpful. Question: I’m having a hard time getting the propeller caps snapped on. Is there a trick for snapping them in? I don’t want to break them. Thanks again

Hi Kara, thanks for watching! I had to press them on pretty hard to make them snap in place, but they weren't terribly difficult. I did find that they had to be aligned just right to snap on though.

How and where do I put in an SD Card? Also to get the best images and videos, do I need an on board as card installed? Because to me at least, the images and videos I get off the drone camera do not look “Full HD 1080p” Also, GREAT VIDEO!
@dwcoffey5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! The SD card goes in the back of the on-board camera. It takes a mini-SD. I think the images off the on-board card are better than the images saved to my phone.

Great and straight to the point.. question: Dk I have to calibrate the drone every single time I am going to fly it?
@dwcoffey5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, Rick! I had to calibrate mine the first 3 or 4 times I flew, but after that it has not been necessary. I'm guessing that if I make a significant change in my flying location, I will have to recalibrate though.

Dennis, Thank you so much for this video! Really made my setup for the drone so much easier, like you wouldn't believe. I have been trying to fly using the google map, but can't get that to work. Do you by chance have any suggestions? Like I want to map out my flight.
@dwcoffey5 жыл бұрын
Hey Patrick, thanks for watching and I'm glad this helped! I have not tried flying using google map, other than having the map display as I fly. If you tap the 'swiping finger' icon at the top of the control screen, the map will display on the right side. That's about as far as I've gotten :) Please let me know if you figure out more from there....I'd love to hear about it. Thanks!

Just received this drone,charged it up then went through the set up. Using the lift off and land button to get it off the ground. It drifts to the left without any inputs to the drone,how do I make it just hover and not move? The home button does nothing and I have the hardest time landing it softly. Any help would be useful Thanks
@dwcoffey4 жыл бұрын
Hey John, thanks for watching. I always use the lift off/land button, just because it's easier. :) Drifting usually happens with any drone when the gyroscope or GPS isn't fully calibrated (assuming it's not caused by crosswind). So, I'd start by calibrating the GPS and gyro...follow the procedure in Potensic's app. So far, my experience has been good with the home button, so I'm also guessing that your trouble may be related to calibration.....without proper calibration, it doesn't know where home is. Soft landings will come with practice.....I'm currently working with control in close-quarters and it is a little challenging to have a soft-enough touch on the controls....haha. I've had more than one crash.

The caps I have for the propeller blades are not a round fitting, they are 6 sided, how do I make that go over the round fixed ring??
@dwcoffey5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, Paige! I can't remember if mine had a hex shape or not, but I do remember that they were very difficult to push on (maybe that's why). Once on, they have stayed put.
@spyjams08therobloxian665 жыл бұрын
Hi! I figured out that one end of thee hex shape thing has a recess for the head of the screw to fit in, so it's flush. Make sure the screw is in there.
@paigesnyder45045 жыл бұрын
Yes, I finally realized that the plastic fixed ring had an indention where the screw sat down in when it was tight, as soon as I changed them so the screw sat flush the caps went right on. The manual is pathetic!! Now I am having trouble getting the drone and my phone paired up, it keeps saying my internet connection is poor. I thought this would be fun but it is very stressful!!!

Hey Paige, I sometimes have the same problem with the phone and internet connection. My phone will seek the best connection, so my phone will sometimes jump connection from the drone to a local router that has a better signal. I've had to tell my phone to forget the other routers, so it will only see the drone. Hope that helps!

How do I take the battery out I need help
@dwcoffey4 жыл бұрын
The battery in the drone comes out by squeezing the top and bottom release tabs on the battery. Sometimes it's a little tight so you may have to pull on it.

I got this for my husband. But it keeps dropping the wifi signal when trying to record :(
@dwcoffey5 жыл бұрын
Hi Lori, thanks for watching. Here's what I've notice with mine: it will still record on the onboard memory card. If there is a stronger wifi signal in the area, my cell phone will tend to switch over to it when the drone signal gets weak. If I get in a spot where the drone wifi signal is the strongest, I don't have a problem with it dropping. Or I can tell my phone to forget the stronger wifi signal so it only looks at the drone.
