According to Ukraine they're also unaliving 20 million russian soldiers every day, while losing a single soldier per month. In war, the first casualty is the truth. Both sides will lie. So, if a claim from one side is too good, doubt it. The US was winning the Vietnam war, until the papers discovered that the military had reached the conclusion the war was unwinnable for a decade. The fact is, Ukraine is losing. This became a war of attrition. Even if Russia loses more soldiers than Ukraine, Ukraine can't replace those soldiers fast enough. Russia can. The "western" countries can't keep Ukraine armed, because they won't change their economies to produce weapons and ammunition in large scale to fuel a war of this magnitude, and Ukraine can't produce their own weapons to replace the pieces they lose. Also, the supply lines are way too complicated, because Ukraine needs to coordinate weapon deliveries with dozens of countries. Not to mention the fact that their army has several different rifle platforms, tanks, ammunition, artillery pieces, etc, so repairs are a nightmare, not to mention training troops to effectively use those weapons, or even manage ammunition deliveries for the frontlines. So, logistics are a disaster for Ukraine. The only way Ukraine could actually win this war is with reinforcement. More well trained soldiers. But no NATO country will do this, because then it's WWIII and nuclear doomsday. No non-NATO country will do it, because nobody else has any incentives to do so. The BEST alternative for Ukraine is to make a big effort to conquer some land, like they did in the beginning of the war, to start negotiation with a slightly better hand, so they'll have something to bargain with. Right now, Russia will probably demand all the conquered territory and a bit more, just to end the conflict, not to mention blocking Ukraine from ever entering NATO and the EU. They better do this fast, because it's possible that the US will slow the delivery of weapons after Jan 20th. And Europe cannot equip Ukraine alone.

Definitely an intercontinental ballistic missile with multiple warheads, regardless of its maximum range. By getting a completly ruined country? russia is already the largest country in the world in terms by area, but only by area - incapable of developping their own area properly. More area has no benefit at all. So killing thousands of your own people to "gain" some mined fields and bombed shells of cities will never be a win. Not even if you are standing in the ruins of Kiev, or Berlin or Paris. It's the dumbest thing you could do, to trade human lifes against area in a modern, technological developped world.
