"Whatever" by Brave Girls is so DJ Mustard. Also, when they released Depended, some KZbinrs I liked at the time compared them to Tinashe, especially with the visuals (something like "All Hands On Deck"). I've been into kpop since 2011, and by the time Tinashe released her 2nd single, I remember thinking how "complimentary" her performance was to the tropes popular in kpop (highly choreographed dance moves that are designed to be viral and replicable, EDM subgenres and a reverence for pop structure, hyper-feminine visuals, performers with thin bodies, etc.). So it was almost unsurprising seeing so many artists play with many of the ideas that she had previously explored, even after she had long moved into different musical and visual directions.
