You should read the book "The Kojima Code". Kojima wanted to throw in as much insane shit into MGS2 as possible knowing it would get removed so he could get away with less crazy things. If he made a normal game with some crazy stuff in it, the suits and his team would tell him to remove the crazy elements, so he put in literally batshit nuts ideas just so his "crazy" ideas that he actually wanted in the game would seem tame in comparison and get the pass.

This is subjective. Some may say the original NES is the greatest ever since it practically saved and rebooted the American market after Atari almost ruined it forever. PS2 definitely sold a LOT and had the extra features in the DVD/CD player. Others may say that the Nintendo switch is the greatest game console of all time as it has almost rivalled the PS2 in sales in a shorter timeframe and plays many generations of games. Me, I liked the Amiga computer and the Neo Geo.

I didn't mean to dunk on Titans, I was just trying to end the segment on a wistful note of "oh what could have been (if TT got to make another Crash)." I usually try to end segments with some kind of closure so it doesn't feel like it just abruptly ends. Maybe I didn't stick the landing on this one.

@@DJIVision no DJ, its not a critic about how you write the video, infact the video is really well made. Im just upset that Titans got that metascore and people assume that its a bad game. Letsplayer and youtuber too… NOT EVERYONE, mind you, but I see A LOT of hate for the Crash Radical games, expecially from italy (where im from). I dont blame you for what you say, not at all. Im sorry if i make you feel that way. I speek with my heart because CoTT is so fun and an overall good time and people just like to treat it like dirt and because of this infamous reputation not many people play it. Maybe its my fault too i take it too personally… but its just THAT important to me, as a game and as a memorie that shaped me as the gamer im am today. Crash its a series really close to me and i just want people to experience every game and enjoy them for what they are, because the post ps1 games have a lot to give to people if they just open their minds… again, sorry if i make you question your writing style, because thats not the problem here, absolutly not at all! I hope you give Titans a try someday, anyway.

That happened a lot, actually. Kojima has a habit of just going crazy, trying to throw shit at the wall to see what sticks, and his team has the balls to just tell him no. It still happens to this day.
