Vick Nasty When you look at the demo of Redemption, it was understated, unpolished, and true to development cycle. And then the final product completely blew away expectations. In recent years, game demos way over promise, and then rely on DLC and episodes to complete unfinished work. Some modern demos dont even use the game engine that its being developed on, because they want to impress with shiny graphics. So my point is, Red Dead Redemption stands apart from the modern gaming industry's marketing trends, and Rockstar put out a superior game.

This games story was so fucking phenomenal and there was a lot that actually kept me interested. The stranger quests led to so much, the online was awesome. It was like GTAV but really early but it worked so well. The challenges and variety of guns was really fun too. I remember going into Blackwater online killing a few cops to get the Glock, and just SHIT on kids with it because I never unlocked it lmao Hands down one of my favorite games on the Xbox 360. I didn't know about the music either, they put so much work into it! Any other games that did the same with the audio?

Its so funny that I remember being 10 or maybe even younger and playing Red Dead Revolver but being annoyed I couldn't do anything but shoot. I dont remember much of the game but the world drew me in so much I wanted to do more than the linear game would let me, and it wouldn't let me enjoy the world at my pace, so I totally stopped playing. Then all those years later Red Dead Redemption comes along and well _redeems_ the series and almost becomes one of my *_absolute_* favorite video games of all time. The whole part on the music blew my mind though! It was so brilliantly executed and subtle I hardly noticed, it just all felt so natural. You really have to admire everybody's commitment on this project, amd how they gave everything the time it needed to become truly fucking _great_ in an industry so constantly crippling itself with rushed development for maximized profits and fear of risk taking. These guys took risks and it paid off SOO well. Sadly their example doesn't inspire other large companies...

Mr. Atari 2600 I just like to pretend Marston is Red and he just changed his name after killing the Governor to avoid being hunted down. And I like to think he made up most of his past to further sell his new identity, and that he met Dutch and his gang shortly after the first Red Dead. It's a stupid theory, but if Red was around 16-18 during revolver, it could make sense age wise. Btw the only reason I and up with this bullshit is because they both have a similar hat and similar scars. It's fun to play around with though

I never beat this game, but I definitely will if we're lucky enough to see a PC port of this released with Red Dead Redemption 2.

I believe there may have been a subtle advertising plug for men's shaving products at the end... I may be wrong. Great vid and interesting insights though, super stoked for the next game.
