Same man! And yet I hear some people complain about organization in Final Cut Pro. Perhaps they just don’t know about all the features 🤔

These are REALLY good tips for keeping your work organized, and most importantly, saving yourself from having to watch through the same clip multiple times trying to remember what part you liked (or didn't like). Spending a few seconds up front marking clips can save you tons of time down the road. Thank you for putting together this video, it's incredibly helpful!

Question: How do you go about sorting 2-3 terabytes in fcpx using HDD then picking out the clips you want to use and dropping them into a FCPX timeline and then exporting Only the clips in that timeline so you can import the files into a fast SSD to edit only the files you want? Are there any tricks for that? I know you can click on view in the browser and then view in finder and do it individually, but that would take hours and hours and hours to go through every clip one by one. If anyone has any tips or software Id love to have any suggestions!

This probably isn't the answer you want to hear - because I'm unaware of a method to accomplish what you're asking for - but if you are losing that much time on your current process, it would make sense to break down and get yourself a portable SSD drive with the capacity you need. Samsung makes some great 2TB portable SSD drives that are fast and won't break the bank. There are other brands/capacities available that aren't too expensive, either. Once you factor in the value of your time, they pay for themselves.

I wonder if they have this feature in Premiere? 🤔 Either way, with all of these reviews on the new MacBooks, I may be making the switch back and your channel will be even more useful

I don’t believe it does but I could be wrong. The organizational features in Final Cut are some of the main reasons why it’s such an efficient editing software to use and ironically it’s one of the reasons why people are put off by it. The look of the interface throws people off and persuades them into thinking it’s not a professional editor and obviously that’s not true. Especially for a content creator like you, I’d argue that Final Cut is by far the best NLE to use because of the speed in which you can pump out quality videos. That’d be awesome to have you watch the tutorials on my channel to learn some tips man! Looking forward to our collab tomorrow 👊🏼
