I am binge watching all your videos in a row and my only complain so far is that... there are not enough! I really like your aesthetic. I'm not exactly sure what it is, maybe the warmth of the color, maybe your specific oranges and browns and greens...? Watching your videos puts me in some kind of meditating state. Nothing else matter and it ease my soul. Thank you. I'm looking for your next piece of art. PS : Love your dog! He has character.

Such an awesome film! Storytelling and tones are right on, subbed! I think there's a few of us who would love to know your secret sauce i.e. your Davinchi colour workflow! I have the a7siii but wow - you've just opened my eyes to it's potential!
@DylanSpitz2 жыл бұрын
Really appreciate that, Thomas! Hahaha I don’t have too many secrets really, just a workflow that involves basic corrections, then creative decisions like curves, colors and power windows, then a chain of effects like grain, sometimes subtle halation, etc.. overall it’s usually ~15 nodes per clip. I’ll use the hero shot from each scene as the starting point for that color palette/location. Hope that helps! It’s a wildly capable camera and I absolutely adore it.

So good. The intro music is so dope, every time. That shot with the surfer is a special one. Love the production value, the attention to detail (changing shutter sounds depending on the camera used), is second to none. Love the vibe when the weather changes, great transition. Can't wait for the next one! Do you use a pro mist filter on your x100v, if so what strength?
@DylanSpitz2 жыл бұрын
Wow, you are the best! I’m stoked that someone pointed that out about the actual shutter sounds, haha. Very encouraging feedback that I definitely don’t just glance over…so thank you, seriously. And yes! I almost always use a 1/8 on the x100v unless I’m shootings details or want to capture more of a “gritty” scene.

Beautiful. Can I ask how you take care of your camera gear while on a beach/near sand? When I was young, I had sand ruin a zoom lens on a camera, and since have been very hesitant to shoot anything near sandy areas. Easy to do when I live in a land-locked state, but would love some advice for when I am able to travel to the ocean!
@DylanSpitz2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for that. When I am near sand I usually just make sure my cameras are on straps and secure - and avoid “close to the ground” angles or super windy conditions.
