NPC’s in regular raids would be so helpful for rural players or even players who don’t have a lot of time and want to knock out a raid on their own. They could make it so it’s like main series game and have 3 NPC’s max and as real players join it replaces the NPC’s 1 by 1. I have a feeling the raid dens will be limited to party play, they seem to be pushing that feature a lot and it makes sense since it’s also a group of up to 4. We’ll see, I’m still excited to play.

They don't need npcs when they can rework in person raids. Make it so friends that are in proximity of a raid can join their other friends that may be in other countries if they are also in proximity of a raid boss of the same Pokémon. Kinda like remote raids but all the players have to be there in person.

Pokemon Shield was one of my first ever Pokemon games and I would love to see it come to raids in Pokemon GO. I would definitely enjoy it if this added some strategy with changing the stats of raid targets as you mentioned 3/4 of the way through the video Currently in our local community, a lot of people in raid trains use awfully-picked counters because they know there's no challenge when we're in a large group. I want there to be challenging raids / events that require strategy and communication beforehand. Limiting elite raids / Gmax raids to 4 people would still allow for big events, but very strongly reward people who put serious thought into counters, stats, leveling (imagine people flocking to the good players to be in their teams).

I wouldnt recommend maxing out Pokemon for Gigantamax right now. In the Sword and Shield games you had to catch specific mon that could Gigantamax. Wait until the new evolution process comes out and save your XL candy

I was thinking about this a few days ago. I feel that the best way to use this feature would be to limit Dynamax to only battles (Gym and PvPs, since in the main series, it is exclusively a Gym / Raid mechanic). Not only will this balance things, but you don't need any energy for this. As for Gigantamax Pokemon, they can be in raids, where once you defeat the raid, you get the Pokemon with the Gigantamax Factor. You can't use a Pokemon with the factor to mega evolve (specifically Gengar and Charizard).

Sounds nice! I would like more challenging content. I want more ways to track how much damage I do in raids, too. The "top damage" acolade is busted and clearly doesn't work as we think it does. It seems that if the top damage person qualified for a different acolade, like travel distance, etc., it gives the top damage accolade to whoever next. Sometimes I get beat out by friends with low level pokemon that have no chance to top my teams. The lack of damage transparency really sucks since a big motivation is by minmaxing teams for raids. I have to rely on pokiegenie to tell me how much damage I do theoretically. Lame. This isn't something I think they will ever do, though. At least they are making the game better in other ways, but even after a year of playing so far and having done a lot of raids, I'm starting to lose my drive once I get those legendary hundos caught and maxed. The future of power creep via turning everything into a shadow isn't exciting.

Seems like the most likely way they would implement it would be a battle mechanic similar to party power. You build up a meter and activate it, then when activated it slowly drains until gone. I would expect maybe some debuffs to the boss to make it more interesting and change up the meta a little bit. Maybe even some buffs to your party to make it extra spicy. Gmax snorlax ends up healing all friends or something.

I think dynamax/gigantimax should be a more late game feature kinda like xl candies where you have to be level 30-35 to do them and they’ll be much harder to beat than a normal raid boss and yield more rewards. There’d be a small chance to get more premium stuff like elite Tms, star pieces, raid passes, incubators, etc so that there’s a way to get the more exclusive items that you’d normally pay to get but free. This encourages grinding and beating more raids and you could make stuff like wishing pieces paid or very hard to drop.

My hope is this is not a copy/paste of raids. I hope they stick to the group format in the main line series. Add bonuses for Party Play feature, group of 4. Maybe even add NPCs if you don't have 4 so even a single player or duo could do this. I would like to do local raids, but don't want to rely on needing to summon more players via Campfire. People have different schedules. I don't mind the thought of needing to catch the Gigamax enabled Pokemon from a Max Raid. Hopefully that's not RNG based. Maybe they can provide the mushroom soup from the mainline games at a coin cost in the shop to add Gigamax to your Pokemon that can do that. As far as activating, maybe only in battle. Use crystals similar to shadow raids and collect them via a new mechanic. Or from catching that typing of pokemon in the wild, similar to XL candy. You have a chance.
