Dynamic Nasal Drooping When Smiling: Cause and Treatment

Usually, when a person smiles, the position of the nasal tip does not change. Unfortunately, in some patients, a smile can cause the nasal tip to droop lower causing a slight beak-like appearance. This undesirable appearance when smiling, is due to several anatomic factors including, position of the nasal tip cartilage and septum, along with their muscle attachments. In particular, the depressor septi nasi muscle located between the upper lip and central base of the nose is a common factor leading to a droopy nose when smiling.

I like my nose shape, but when I smile, it changes it shape like an arrow, so it's a good alternative then surgery

OMG SAMME! I love my nose too- but I’m jus insecure when it bends when smiling and laughing. Hopefully this is just a temporary insecurity in our minds that will go away with time.
