Yes, corrected. 109.53hp was the best run and 62.49ftlb torque at 6psig.

this will seem odd but im in love with the work you have done! its truly amazing!! i was just curious as to whether or not for the right price you would build a turbo charged sv650 engine for a paying customer. if not no worries! keep up the good work!

Thanks Rory….I'm installing one now on a Vstrom650. You can see a tutorial on it at vimeo.com/179919535 there is a second part uploaded now. Will be installing one on my TL1000 in the spring. Almost done with weestrom. You can follow my work at timskustoms.blogspot.com or at E E systems engineering on Facebook

Thats pretty cool how hard was it to sort the boost pipes out for the vtwin engine configuration, its not done alot due to the style of engine id assume but still none the less pretty cool on par with Isle of man TT super twins

were you get a turbo for the sv650 at
@tc104x8 жыл бұрын
+Mattlah12 It is an IHIVF45 from an Subaru Legacy. It now has a larger compressor wheel.

Really great job man!I also want to tune my sv 650(not turbo)but i ready that they got problem with crank at 85hp...i see you above 100hp,what about the crank?
@tc104x2 жыл бұрын
See my other videos related to the stator modification for the end of the crank, also I've never broken one in over 50k miles.

You're using all stock internals, seems like it would be, a ticking bomb, at those levels, hows it on fuel use now ? BTW it's a big accomplishment to do that, at least it is too me ! My SV650 is fun, but it would be a monster like that.. Ride safe, yl
@tc104x10 жыл бұрын
as i the video I get mid to high 50's mpg. Always depends on how you drive it. It's getting EFI set up very soon and will expect better MPG from a different set up than stock for more efficient use of the internal chemical energy of the fuel source. Yes, I will ride safe! you as well!
@ylism10 жыл бұрын
Your bike is doing good on its fuel use, just as it is, my bike gets around 58 to 63 mpg, while still having fun, not being a turtle in the mountains. lol Yes the mpg is based on our riding habits, I go for being smooth with the throttle, it works best for me. You have put a lot of time, and mileage on your bike, and it's doing great, you must have worked out the AFR with the turbos boost just right, to make it that durable, it's smooth & no popping of any sort. Glad to hear your doing better from being hurt also. Take care & thanks again. yl

I have the same bike where can I get the turbo kit
@tc104x2 жыл бұрын
There is no kit available to my knowledge. This was all hand fabricated.

Do you have a build thread? What turbo did you choose?
@tc104x10 жыл бұрын
yes just google sv650 Turbo and you'll find it in the svrider forums. I explain why I chose the ihi vf in the forum and what modifications I made to it.

Nicely done, nicely done indeed. When does the engine reach full boost? I was wondering; my turbo diesel (car) spools up, and I could see this being a bit unwanted on a bike. Note: I am a novice rider on a SV 650s 2004, and I really like the even powerband with no "spool-up" effect, like my pals GSX-R 600 2001. Glad to see it's still running after the massive rain in 2013.
@tc104x9 жыл бұрын
There is little to no lag and I can control how hard a hit I want on the boost with the upper control valve, considered basically a controllable priority breather valve and can allow boost to come on quite linearly, or very quickly.
@MrCarlox869 жыл бұрын
tc104x Cool. I really admire the effort put into the bike instead of just getting a bigger bike.
@P0LYPRO10 жыл бұрын
Very nice, but that weak spot where the oil hole is for the crankshaft scares me at that much hp.
@tc104x10 жыл бұрын
I now have over 30,000miles with the turbo at constant boost levels 6-10psig. Crank failier is an issue of shock force vs linear applied force, for the most part especially in this application. Every component has it's breaking point, but I feel I've proven the difference to some significant degree, but there are always variables that have to be considered towards the integrity. I just felt it was higher than propagated on forums. It is also how the power is utilized, again shock force, high constant rpm are the two main culprits. I've broken forged 454 cranks, so it's all about knowing limits. Again, I just know it is higher than what is typically propagated on forums.

tc104x so the old engine had carbs? I have an 02 but thought you couldn't put a turbo on a engine with a carb cuz it would just blow the seals
@tc104x7 жыл бұрын
Carbs get modified...easy mod for blow through. Still carbs on it. Could use some fine tuning but will probably leave them on for old school sake.
