What's jaw-dropping to me is that the author was never in a dysfunctional family. And the reference was just a couple of friends. This comic portrays living with narcissistic parents, and does it uncannily well. All the roles among kids and how they navigate it. How a parent sees their children as a mere extension of themselves (during Rodrick's past scene). Like I still refuse to believe it, holy moly. You gotta live in this environment to understand it that well. Either that, or it actually was very well-researched.

I never thought I'd be into DOAWK dark LLBs as an adult but I grew up on the series as a kid so theres that haha. This is something I actually look forward to and enjoy listening along. I like to wait for them to be posted here bc i think the voices really bring out her work. I've always enjoyed dark stories and shows like Morel Orel (if that means anything haha) Very cool to see BPD representation with Roderick! I knew there was a reason he felt sadly relatable in this series ❤😩
