I think this is the model what Dyson engineers decided to make after heavy drinking in the local pub. Very collectible, but needs to be handled with extreme care.

I like mine but it is probably the most over engineered Dyson ever.

and a SEBO felix/dart can't do a similar action without a ball? mad I rate SEBO build quality much higher than Dysons' and hygienic, yeah apart from that quite clear cloud of dust when emptying.

This thing had *LOADS* of things wrong with it when it hit *the U.S. market.* Also I could have recalled this had a feature that moved the duct on the base that switched from the floor head to the hose. This also lets you reach in there and *see what tf was stuck in there.* *This way you can see why it was losing suction.* And one more thing it had a circuit board *inside where the dust goes to the container.* A lot of $#!t wrong with this, m8!

Has the single Ball™ design notion blinded all Dyson engineers? Vorwerk and Sebo figured all you need is a simple swivel neck joint and "maneuverability problem" is solved. Adding the motor+filter to the ball simply adds higher profile to the cleaner, giving the likes of many other cleaner heads to have greater reach in REAL WORLD usage. What Dyson have done is taken the regular roller wheel on a standard combination floorhead, moved it backwards a bit, and made it bigger. Let marketing do the rest of the consumer brainwashing with Ball Technology™

@hamzahassan77304 жыл бұрын
jaywalkra The ball was just their own unique design. I think it looks nice. Plus, they were able to fit all the motors, wires and hoses in it. Not sure what you think about the ball design now because ur comment was 2 years ago.
@jaywalkra4 жыл бұрын
@@hamzahassan7730 Unique yes. In fact I'd agree plenty of Dyson's designs are unique. The problem I have with them is that they don't deal with practical problems. By stuffing lots of components into the Ball, it makes the profile seem compact and good for marketing. Except when you try to vacuum under furnitures. The Ball creates a high profile design which prohibits users vacuuming in low-lying areas. That's where my original comment was talking about. A seemingly good design at first, but once you own and use it, you discover its flaws. As a former Dyson owner, I realised Dyson simply loves inventing new problems. Instead of having Dual Cyclone (2), let's have Radix Cyclone (12). And since that doesn't work, let's have Two-Tier Radial Cyclone (28+). And because there's dirt gets clogged in these tiny cyclones, we now have Cinetic Cyclones with silicone ended tips. They're stuck in this hole when the proven solution is to use a quality filtering media (see Miele, Numatic, Sebo).

I have a Kirby Sanitronic VII that belonged to my grandmother and was built in 1963 And I have never lost suction. And I have the shake out bag. I’m sorry to say this and nobody’s going to like me for it but Dyson vacuums suck and I will never buy one.
