Hi there, thanks for showing this, We get this all the time, people do not understand that you need to keep the cleaner clean and dust free! Then they wonder why the suction just goes!!! I have lost count to how many of these I have done and found so many different things inside of them!

bicester Vacuum repair TV .well, I am not a pro, so if I missed anything feel free to add to or correct them.

no you did just great, i would say that these videos might shame people into cleaning their vacuum more but i have to be honest, charging people to clean them and service them is good for my business!! lol!!

bicester Vacuum repair TV how much do you charge for thorough cleaning?
@bicestervacuumrepairtv736 жыл бұрын
I am in the UK so we charge, £40 for a full service which includes cleaning the filters, the canister and the roller and casing. we also do an assessment before hand and then quote if anything is wrong or needs changing. so they pay us £20 deposit, which comes off the final price if they have the job done, or that is the charge if they decide not to and scrap the vacuum. Once we have assessed the job we give a quote and voila, the jobs a good 'en Of course the majority of the work we get in is either motors, motor brushes or loss of suction and most of those are clogged machines, destroying seals and filters and causing havoc with the motor. Your video is great and very thorough! Well Done!!! And thanks for asking and replying to my comments it was really nice talking with you!!

Blame the vacuum company and lazy idiots that can't take care of their tools. Shark and Dyson both hype their "maintenance free" vacuums that "never lose suction" with "lifetime filters". I just got a DC14 and I don't think it's ever been serviced in 10 years. Both filters look like they came out of a wastewater plant. I had to use gloves to remove them.

I am embarrassed to say that I have had my Animal for years and have never cleaned the filters. I've have messed with the roller a lot though. Thanks so much for this video. I have taken out both filters and they will get a thorough cleaning! Thanks for showing me how!

Elizabeth Page you'll probably get better suction, but maybe not. They can hold a lot of dust.

Glad for your narration. Camera could be used to better illustrate what you're talking about. Thanks for the video.

That's true. Problem I have is I get wrapped up thinking about the problem and what to do, I forget to keep the camera in mind. I'm trying to be better at that.

I wish you showed how to get the side filter out. I can’t get it out
@brianzaborowski27246 жыл бұрын
What a disgrace to do that to the best vacuum Dyson ever made! Some people are clueless about the simple job of maintaining these. Those owners have the rubber seal pushed way up the tube and that is what caused the filter to get so nasty. I have the same exact model and it looks and performs just like it did 10 years ago. I have only washed my motor filter out with water once since I had it and it wasn't bad at all. I suck my filters off with an old vacuum every once in a while and use it to clean the bin and canister everytime I empty the bin.

I am hereby disgraced! lol! Thanks Brian! And it is a great vacuum cleaner. Fortunately, my filters did not look as bad as the ones in your video and I have 3 cats, so that was a plus!

Thank you for this video--you have THE most helpful and informative video to truly help us take care of our Dyson! However, the hepa filter did not just pop out, and I still can't get it out--there are no videos on what to do if it doesn't pop out. Also, do you know how to get to the root cyclone to make sure it is not clogged? Thank you!
@darylturcott6 жыл бұрын
Heidi Hampton the root cyclone, I just removed dust bin and blew compressed air through it. Our can see into it really well when it's apart. I don't remember how the filter came out, this one isn't mine,and it's gone now.

please help, somehow the part to the right of the u bend "gooseneck" got off kilter on mine and i can't figure out how to remove it. i never thought i'd be one of these people leaving a shot in the dark comment on a youtube video but it happens to us all eventually i guess haha i can't even find out what the part is called, ugh

Do you mean the 90° elbow? It slides up, it's been some years since I did this one. Maybe tell me at what point in the video I show that part?

Seriously giving me motion sickness with how you move the camera around.
@TheScaletIbisNW5 жыл бұрын
if you have allergies or asthma never just dust off a hepa filter unless stated other wise. The "under the canister" filter should be cleaned. The side filter should be replaced.
@darylturcott5 жыл бұрын
Dyson says it's a lifetime filter, which I doubt is really true. I still like to blow it off a few times before I swap it out.
