Dyson Fan Noise

My Dyson Heating and Cooling fan suddenly started making a awful rattling noise. This is how I fixed it.

Thank you!!! Been waking up to a noisy rattling Dyson fan for months! Now maybe my vacuum. Seems like after 4 years the Dyson upright and cordless want to quit on me. Lifetime warranty my backside!! Again thank you. At least this is fixed.

Try a little Blue Loc-Tite on the tips of the four screws and let it set for an hour before turning it back on. Loc-Tite will stop those screws from backing out.

I wonder if adding a crinkle washer to the 4 screws would stop them vibrating loose again?

Is it normal for when it is in heat mode it simply stops blowing hot air every few minutes like for 30 seconds or so ?!

I did it - didn't work for me - seems to be a different problem - it just rattles as the fan slows down and starts back up - which happens every 30 seconds or so..

Your so cute “ star head screw driver”. But it explains it best. It’s actually called a torx screwdriver. I’m a girl and actually had to google what kind of screw driver has a star in the end. Before I could fix my dyson.
