If you’ve never used an air filter these are great. kzbin.infoUgkx_dppjvjF8BYEmPSDTcgCUdRsgWYLXNHN I ended up with three after starting out with one. The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!

Thanks , came to see how to change the filter. 😆 the led was showing weird letters and I figured filter was the problem. I actually didn’t know it had one. I shut the fan off and almost immediately my nose got stuffy- allergies. It really helps with that. I live in a humid environment and mould issues can be a problem. Never had allergies before until I moved to New Zealand. 🤷‍♀️ I like New Zealand but my nose doesn’t.

I've had mine 3 years now, LOOOOOVE it. Just came to see about the filter. I use the fan at night about 4 hours and during cooler temps use the heater about 1-2 hours to remove the chill. The replace filter light just came on (3 years!!).

Hi, i just saw this video.This model has no half moon button for the night time. Some other the hot and cool link and bigger ones have this. For nighttime this makes then a lot more noise than the others?

Does this fan work with a smart plug? ie does supplying electricity to the fan automatically turns the fan on or do you still need to press the on button on the fan.

I don't know if the button release is broken or what but when I push the 2 buttons & pull it does not come off, I even had my wife hold the base so I could pull harder & it didn't budge open to suggestions thanks

It would be interesting to see if this could actually heat a small room up to 37°C. You could potentially use it for hot yoga.

They are ok if you want something to blow cool or warm air at you. It's not designed to cool a room down though

You would normally support it from the bottom mainly but you can with your other hand lift at the top at the same time.

It doesn't cool the air. By increasing the speed of the air it gives the impression that the air is cooler.

So if you're wanting to use the heat function and it heats the area to the desired temperature you've set, does it turn off and come back on when needed?

Yes it will do, if you have selected the desired temperature, it will turn off when its up to temperature then come on again when required.

But in the meantime it starts cooling, and that’s what I don,t like. It does not stop complete, it,s fan stays on and that gives fresh air which feels cool. I wish the fan stopped complete till it heats up again. Now it cools down it,s own warming up temperature. I see it on my cv thermostat, if the Dyson heats up, the temperature goes up, but as soon the heating stops and the fan stays on, the cv thermostat goes immediately down. That’s a waste of energy all the time.

I have one. Non purifier The fan is a bit crap, not at all powerful but it’s a fan, it does not cool… it’s a plain fan.. it does work just like a normal bladed fan Personal.. def not room cooling … the heater isn’t bad. But it’s no diff then a £20 fan heater, but nicer ones like dimplex are about £100 . If you can pick it up for cheap it’s not bad. Most I’d say it’s worth is £150-180 Personally for purification… forget dyson… I’d buy blu air. However. It’s even more expensive!!

Why is this heater just get switched off by itself.., what may be the reason. It's just a week old. Is there any setting we need to do.?

I'm not too sure, the only reason is that it has got up to the required temperature. May be worth contacting Dyson to see if there is something else they can suggest.

They all turn off when the internal thermostat detects that the room has reach the desired temperature

It will also switch off if the user chooses the function to turn it off after 30 minutes or 1 hour etc.

It might be a heater but there's no way that it can cool down a room of even the tiniest size, due to the laws of thermodynamics.
