Thanks a lot again Jan for this great video and major option for easy tuning. I did it myself today using the exact same configuration (HW and SW), with a Windows 11 laptop. As reported already, XPD r0.4.1 will not open on such Windows version. So it did take me longer than this video, but basically: 1. go to the alternative source in Endless Sphere 2. go to page 22 and check the release 048 of XPD in the last post of that page. 3. With this release, you can follow strictly the same process as described by Jan. 4. Some more hints: - when downloading the configuration, it will be stored in some random location on your PC. Just search for your title in your drive and relocate it to Documents>xpd (this folder was created automatically). - add the extension ".asv" to this file. Then you will be able to see it in XPD. - duplicate this file, rename it from "stock" to "tuned" parameters for instance, do the tuning as per Jan's tutorial, upload. You're done! Thank you Jan! @gwigzee I am trying to find the release 048 of XPD as you suggested but cannot locate it. I do not see the forum titled "alternative source", But I do see one that is called "Alternative Energy". However, there are no 22 pages for it. Do you have a direct link I can use?

For those coming here in 2024 (or Windows 10+) and beyond…the driver for the serial cable does not register a com port appropriately with device manager. Don’t install it, or uninstall it; and let Windows install its own driver which finally got an actual com port assigned in device manager, and XPD saw it as in the video. Brilliant work here - thank you for this incredibly helpful video!

Cheers Seth, I can't tell you a geometrically identical replacement, but you csn take any 6S to 10S LiIon battery pack. I'd head for a pack with more capacity (>6-7Ah), they can stand better the high amps in case your controller was flashed.

Hallo ModularMobility, mit Deinen Infento-Videos hast Du unseren Sohn wirklich angefixt. Er ist inzwischen mit LEGO-Technic an seine Grenzen gestoßen - immer größer und schneller. Mit Infento scheint man hier eine tolle Alternative zu finden. Wie siehst Du denn den Einsatz bei Kindern ab 11 Jahren (150cm groß, 40kg)? Hätte man noch länger etwas davon?

Hallo, danke für deine netten Worte, und ich freue mich euren Sohn für etwas Technisches zu begeistern. Mit Lego und Infento verhält es sich ähnlich bzgl. des Alters. Je nachdem was du baust kann es sogar Erwachsene herausfordern. Da ist kein Alterslimit. Man kann auch echt viel anderes Zeug dranschrauben, Fahrwerksgeometrien in 5 Minuten verändern und das Resultat erleben. Wenn man allerdings nur bei dem Teileumfang eines Kits und bei dessen Fahrzeugen mit Anleitung bleibt, wird ab 13-14 Jahren etwas Pipsi. Auch wenn die Anschaffung etwas teurer ist...selbst 2 Legend Kits kosten weniger als ein Navi eines Audis, oder weniger als die Lego Sammlung in den meisten Kinderzimmern.

Hallo! Super Video. Bei mir konnte ich die konfig herunterladen, aber nicht wieder auf den Motor hochladen! Eventuell hatte ich vorschnell auf upload gedrückt und eine andere Config aus dem Programm hochgeladen, der Motospeicher war dann gelöscht, also alles auf null... Kann man den resetten o.ä.? Tips? Kabelverbindung hab ich schon alles probiert...

Hmm, das hatte ich noch nicht. Alles was ich bisher gemacht habe war komplett reversibel. Resetten geht denke ich nicht. Der EEPROM ist beschrieben, fertig. Dahinter, gibts keine Boot-Partition oder Werkseinstellung, soweit ich weiß.

You may check my 2nd video about e-pulse tuning to find these answers. When amongst the speed settings "sequential" is enabled you can use the orange wire of the controller to operate a NO momentary switch to toggle through 4 different engine speeds.

Basically I'd say yes, it is (as always) rather a matter of speed and gear ratio. With a 36v battery ( at least 6-7Ah recommended) I expect it to have around 230 Watt. Great for some fun, though I doubt it is reliable enough for greater mileage.
