Opening that air box and adding the cone filter will make it run more lean on a EFI. On a carb you can make your manual adjustments. Probably why the exhaust is so hot. From my experience from tuning Mustangs it has to be programmed to make fuel adjustment. Pretty sure it's the same concept.

Honestly this is one of the best ideas I'm thinking about looking forward to I'll be getting one by next week and this bike with the mods is very sick🔥🔥 But I have an interesting question to increase more top speed do you think a 40 teeth rear sprocket will fit with the 17 two front sprocket? if so I will be upgrading the bike after I break it in the first 250 to 500 miles so the engine can have a breather, this video has make me eager to be apart of the bike family I had a 125cc and I gave it to my neighbor so this 250cc will be an awesome upgrade for me 🙂
@MotoCheez2 жыл бұрын
You can get a 45 or 40 rear sprocket but when I've tested this it makes it totally worthless off-road and it does bring down your RPM close to top speed but it actually lowered my top speed a few miles an hour because it just didn't have the power to pull that higher gear ratio

I've been modding my Hawk DLX (EFI) and am worried it might be running lean. Seems to run great after warming up, and has more power, especially on the low end. Running lean should skyrocket head temps, but head temp is about 300 degrees here in Phoenix summertime, which doesn't seem bad. Has anyone done a retune on these ECU bikes?
