Finally a solution for my open diff never drift B30? Unbeatable price, hope installing is easy
@407_ryan8 Жыл бұрын
The guide is in the e46 handbook which would tell you the tolerances for back lash and would tell you to shim the diff properly and how to measure it, I bet that diff is quite loud
@JDsGarage Жыл бұрын
Diff is going perfectly so far but yeah better someone knows what they’re at tbf 👍
@lorenzowashington5233 Жыл бұрын
you only have to worry about that if your changing the gear ring and pinion too

How has it held up and where you bought this from?

Howd you remove the diff carrier bearings without harming them? I had to get new bearings for mine and they actually ended up not being the proper cone width.
@JDsGarage Жыл бұрын
Started with small screw driver and hammer then when it started moving ( work your way around ) started using a chisel and eventually it’ll just come off
@Hardstylers4Life661 Жыл бұрын
@@JDsGarage gotcha. The cars still up on jackstands. These new bearings didnt cut it for some reason but thanks for the insight mate

Whats it like for taking off sideways and just a bit of general messing? thinking of buying one for an opel manta, just wanna make sure it drives alright when not messing aswell?

Hi i have the same diff ready to install and I'm wondering how did you reinstall the bearings on the new diff? Thanks!

Lined them up and used a peace of timber and tapped them on with a mallet but only small taps

Would you recommend this kit I'm very tempted to order one now for my e46 heard mixed reviews 🤔

Someone who installed the blackline diff in a RenaultSport they said that it deccelerates a lot more aggressively. I was wondering if you've experienced the same? Also have you noticed any changes in fuel economy since you put in the diff?
@joemuppettaylor95902 жыл бұрын
How long have you had it fitted now? Is it still strong?

Yeah still mint still locks up both

Class video, tempting me to try an lsd swap myself. How much did you pay for import duty and other costs on top of the £466?

It was 150 euro for the import charges wasn’t too bad at all

Does this suit a manual transmission set up…… website suggested for auto transmission. I believe the ratios are different of the diff for manual and auto
@JDsGarage Жыл бұрын
Will be different ratios but once it fits the same casing you’ll be fine message them On Facebook they will help you out, with your vin number you can find the diff casing size 👍

What was the main difference between the subframe bushings? And why are the strong flex bushings better? I'm trying to source some bushings for my e46 but there are soo many options.
@JDsGarage Жыл бұрын
The floflex they work like but the fitment was just miserable and then the front 2 forward facings bushings for the subframe on the flow flex they rest on the head of the stud if you're familiar with the e46 subframe / floor so the wheels bushing is resting on the size of a 19mm bolt head, with the Strongflex bushings there are indented which allows this part of the stud to sit into, thus the subframe bushing rests on a much higher surface area and not putting so much stress on these studs I can send you pictures on instagram
@JDsGarage Жыл бұрын
Strongflex diff bushings work so much better too
@mistawhipe Жыл бұрын
Probably a stupid question but do you keep your final drive or does this change it?
@JDsGarage Жыл бұрын

@@JDsGarage Thanks for the response, I might do this mod in the near future to my 330 with the 3.64 diff

About the bushings you are not a fan of... Didnt understand which make are they. And can you elaborate what exactly is wrong with them, cause saying they work but not a fan doesnt go a long way:)
