Took my e63 AMG for a snow drift and it was a lot of fun. Who said Mercedes w211 cannot be driven on snow? I also share many winter driving tips for a rwd car. Winter tires make a huge difference and are so much better than all season on snow. When you drift the e63 AMG on snow winter tires give you much more confidence. Sweet video. How often does the rear end step out when not trying to purposely drift it? I would hate to be making a slight curve on a highway and throw the car into a big slide lol.

Thanks. I haven’t driven it on highway but on the backroads at speeds up to 50 mph didn’t experience unexpected slides. The fronts were loosing grip more because I still have all-season tires in the front. Will put on winter tires as soon as I can find them.

As I learned way back when. I was driving my 1972 144S Volvo 2 RWD. I learned that having 4 Snow tires was worth the cost. When I got my 92 Audi UrS4! I had Blizzak snow tires! It was like driving on rails 😂! I got my first Mercedes 300D Turbodiesel and put nokian snow tires on it. It was really good in the snow and ice. I had Michelin pilots they aren't bad! But out of all of the snow and ice tires I've had. The Blizzaks were the best. And definitely all 4 tires. The Nokians used to be really good. But not so much anymore? Unless you want studded? And noisy when it's not snowing. I have a new to me 08 Mercedes E550. Definitely a great car. After a young lady decided to blow a red light and total my 92 Audi UrS4. 😥😥😥😥🤦‍♂️! Very nice to see your E55!!!😉

Thanks for sharing that about Blizzaks. I considered them at first but couldn’t find the right size. I can’t find matching Alpins for fronts, so I might put Blizzaks there. Definitely need winter tires on all 4 corners. Mine is e63. I had 2013 E550 before and being 4matic, it was great on snow.

@@AccentOnCars sadly no, but for $9300 and someone who has the means to give it the love it needs, it’d be a light restoration job. BUT it is an 04 S600 AMG Sport edition, which are very rare. It’s in Malden.

That would be great 😀 I wish it snowed as much over here too. I took winter driving course years ago but I’d love to practice. How are cops in Canada? Can you practice in an empty parking without the fear of getting arrested?
