Craig, I really enjoyed this vlog. All of the images are so strong and instantly recognizable despite their abstract nature. Not fine art? Perhaps, but they certainly would not be out of place in a posh, west end gallery.

nice video, have to say the 'tripod police' are the biggest pain around London's sights and had numerous arguments with them - sometimes including doing so whilst pressing the remote shutter to capture the shots I wanted whilst they are distracted, (a quiet shutter mode helps too). Good compromise is a monopod with 'feet' (if conditions allow).

Craig - Great & interesting video. Really good to see spme different parts of London, off the “usual” places. Also I would be interested to know if the City of London images (Lloyds, Mobile Phone Building, Gerkin) were taken on a weekday or weekend? Also would be interested to know if you got lots of comments about using a tripod in these areas. Security always seems to be attracted to them. Keep up the inspiring videos. Cheers, Richard.

First of all, I'm not sure what shape your phone is, but its the 'walkie talkie' building! ;-). This was filmed at the weekend, but i have done tripod shots on weekdays too. The security in the Square Mile seem be well informed and know the law, so I don't get stopped. Other places you do get jobsworth security and i must admit, i do enjoy a good argument when i know i'm shooting from a public place!

Hi Philip. Well, an e6 subscription is probably the best thing you can spend your money on and Big Stoppers are over-rated anyway! ;-). Yes, there has been a delay on the pinhole camera shoot/video. Not done it yet, but it will come and it will be a KZbin video.

Keep 'em coming, really enjoying the Vlogs. I think these could easily be defined as fine art as they're appreciated for their aesthetic as opposed to applied art which must serve a purpose. Fine art in this sense comes from the French "fin" - i.e. art as an end in itself. This is often mistaken for the usual English sense of the word fine, meaning of a very high quality. I think these could be classed as "fine" from any perspective though :D

Pedantic maybe but - Bermondsey, where you had the view of Tower Bridge, Shard, Gherkin and others - it's DOWN river. The closer you are to the sea, the further DOWN you are. By the way - the Sky Garden - it's a great place to visit - free entry but you have to book a time on their website (to avoid overcrowding).

What are the basics of shooting long exposure shots at daytime and in really high light conditions? I set mine to 30 seconds and point it at anything in the day and I get a white photograph!

I have Lumix G80 system with two lenses with 62 and 72 mm filter thread (12-60 f2.8-4 and PL-Leica 100-400 f4-5.6). I wanted your opinion on whether to get Lee Filters Deluxe Kit 100mm or the compact LEE Filters Seven5 System Deluxe Kit.

I either use an app to calculate the time or use the Live Bulb feature on the OMD to watch the exposure 'develop' on-screen.

Not to harp on it too much but I think you first need to understand what fine art is without getting to caught up in what you like or dislike about it. I can think of some great artist that have spent a lifetime on long exposure photography; Ansel Adams being the first to come to mind. While the tech has changed since his time, the creativity, imagination and beauty haven't. To each their own. I do enjoy your channel!

I've a big question, how do you deal with security guards ? I'm french and i've planned to visit london early july, but I've seen some videos on youtube, which show that the security guards are quite aggressive with photographers, maybe even more now with what's happened recently... gregory buchs Know your rights, be firm but polite. If you are on private ground, then they can stop you taking pictures, but if you are on public pavement, they can't.
