e90 335i Track Day Mod List - Laguna Seca New PB

Mod List in description. Joined Roy at Laguna Seca for the third time after being away for over 4 years. Quit after two sessions because of uneven brake pad deposits causing bad vibration when braking. Meth/water injection failure suspected with no decrease of IAT temps during boost (confirmed). ECU began pulling power due to high IATs.

Thanks Roy, yes for some reason braking way early didn't seem to hurt my time that much on this track. This set of Carbotech were causing some bad brake shutter. Didn't have that problem on other tracks with less braking demand. I have some PFC-08 ready to go in once I get some new rotors.

I just reclaimed my son’s e92 now that he has to pay his own repair bills post-college. Now I’m ready to make it a track car and happy to discover your channel for guidance. Are you now on your 3rd set of turbos - from OEM to Vargas to Pures to now Viv?

Yes, third set. The wastegate disc came off on the Pures which they repaired for free. The other problem with the twin turbos are that the wastegate actuator bracket start to bend back once you boost over 20 psi or so. This happened to both the pures and the vivs. Ended up sliding spacers behind the brackets while in place. Have fun with the e92!
