E90 Error Code on Frigidaire Washer cleared with Hair Dryer

I had this error code, so watching your video I used the hair dryer set on high for 1 minute, followed your instructions and for whatever reason caused it to error, your method worked. Your video allowed me to do this FIX start to finish in 5 minutes total. Now I'm washing again. Thanks

Yup! This really worked for me. Thanks Bill! I drained the drain pump n had to reattach the drain pump. During that process some left over fabric softener spilled near the circuits. Used the hair dryer , dried it out n Wallah back in Business. Liked n subbed👍🏾🤟🏾

For me it was a very big problem removing the dryer that was on top of the washing machine, so I tried to warming up with a heater gun on front the unit. Whit care around the metal and plastic control front for some minutes. When reset the power the error 90 disappeared. Is incredible. Thanks very much for your video 👍

Ditto here. Plug/unplug cleared it the first time. Holding Reset, 2 times after that. Nothing would clear it after that. Checked all the contacts, inspected the board, etc. Finally tried your hair dryer trick and - bam - it came to life. New board is on the way. But in the meantime, we'll be washing our clothes with a hair dryer. Thx man!

It's likely a cold solder joint on the motherboard, the humidity breaks the connection

be careful not to heat to long and melt the front panel inside. It worked for me for about two months then nothing, I had to buy a new control board $120 on amazon.

I had the same error (E90 on the same model) and the Hair Dryer trick worked for me. However, the problem was coming back over and over. Obviously, this "patch" wasn't permanent, so I put two switches on the washing machine. The first one is to turn on/off electricity (to avoid disturbing sound of the beeps). The second one is to turn on/off a Christmas light that heats the control board. When the E90 error appears, I turn on the light for 1-2 minutes, then turn it off. When I turn back on the washing machine, everything is ready. Quick fix to save $200.

6 months ago I tried this method for the first time. It worked then. I had had to use it every time I wash. In fact, I have done it so many times I left the 2 screws out of the rear. NOW 6 months later, nothing doing. I am so frustrated with this stupid problem. It seems this fix only works so many times and the control panel face is warped but I could care less about that, I just want it to work. As many people that have had this problem, Frigidaire should recall and fix these machines or replace the control boards. GRRRRR

Many thanks for your experience. I have error E90 and E93 on my washer Rex/Electrolux RJ10 (E93=confguration error) but fortunately I found the service manual and I have entered the configuration code like described in that document and I solved the problem!!! Search on google "ewm2000 ec delta 3 with neat cabinet" or "EWM2000". Sorry for my English!!! Regards

I had the same error ( E90 on the same model), I replaced the control Board- part # 137007010 , $ 145.24 with free shipping for searspartsdirect.com. Easy repair, 2 screws to take the top, 4 screws to take the top panel and 6 screws holding the control board. When I saw the heat applied to the board, it is an indication of cold solder or broken SMD ( surface mount components) , it could it been a resistor or Capacitor. Thanks for tip. Regards, Fady.

Bro !!! My washer was mia because of this code replaced the latch which was broke as soon as the error came up nothing tried this it worked. If this doesn't work it's a new control thing guys and even if this works eventually I'm sure you'll need it but it beats 150 bucks at this exact time before Christmas!!!!

I've got the same exact problem with my Zanussi FE1446 and the only thing that helps is if I give it a single bang on top of the panel and then it stops but the error keeps coming back and it is really annoying :(

I do not try yet. But if this does not work, I will take the board off then put into the oven and bake it 220 degree for 8 minutes. Just like I fixed my HP printer board.

E90 has to do with water sensed in the chamber or pump. The washer senses that the load never finished or something went wrong. Simply unplugging and replugging back in, then setting to drain and spin with no spin should clear it.

I moved my Electrolux machine laying on the side and obviously the PCB got wet. It did not clear by waiting as it was obviously not caused by some power glitch. E90 error now gone after a few minutes with the hair dryer, I owe D Cuthrell a beer!

was doing this with the same problem,,took the computer board out to see if any solder was compromised by moisture and instead found a white wire leading to the door was loose,,,took it completely out and now my washer works perfectly every time,,odd without the wire but will conclude it was a door signal control.

Jamidd, sorry, it ended up being an empty hope. Even though my machine worked for some reason after the removal of the loose wire, the wire was the common to the door light. My machine still requires blow dryer heat to start. I removed my computer board hoping the moisture had compromised soldier but no white soldier ..all looked good. I guess i continue to blow dry for now. Good luck.

If you have to keep repeating this procedure than you have a failed control board. If you try this fix...unplug machine first! Why does anyone think they need a computer to wash their clothes. This is a perfect example!

Возникла такая же проблема. Феном сушить не вариант. Загнал в сервисный режим - ошибка не Е90, а Е91! Это отсутствие связи между внутренним блоком управления и блоком ввода данных. Снял переднюю панель, отключил шлейфы, вынул плату и ОПА, половина контактных частей дорожек в окиси! Прошелся нулёвкой, залудил аккуратно, прочистил контакты шлейфа и всё заработало. Не знаю чем там может помочь фен. Кстати, в таблице кодов ошибок, Е90 НЕТ! Это ошибка Е91!

Unplugging the washer for any time did nothing to clear the error. The heat on the circuit board heating up one of the faulty components on the board is what reset the machine , worked for 2 months. till I ordered a new board. Unplugging the machine every time first to see if it would clear never worked.. Will never purchase anther Frigidaire anything in the future.

This is not a typical error code recognized through the tech sheet, contained within the machine. Typically, the hair dryer has nothing to do with solving this issue. Unplugging the washer for a short time (usually 5 mins. or less) will clear any glitch, due to a power surge, etc.

Out of the three major appliances I've purchased in the last 6 years, all three were made in america and two have already required major repairs. The moral of the story - don't buy american.
