I got this knife when it first showed up on Amazon. I got it in natural G10 and then wrapped the handle in glow in the dark bands. It's plenty tough. I put it through a brutal beating by batoning it through a thick hickory round several times. It's earned a place in my EDC slingbag as its really versatile and makes a great selfdefence blade as well. I love the steel it's in, it'll get razor sharp and it's easy to put a mirror edge on it. Great knife and video!

this is the origibal Japanese Tanto blade shape. the one with the corners is actually an American Tanto. another good example for a classic Tanto is the Cold Steel Outdoorsman, as opposed to their American Tanto blades with "Tanto" in the name.

Love this knife. Have owned it for 2 years now. I would prefer the Tang were tapered or skeletonized and that there was no Swedge, better for batoning and easier to use the entire spine for scraping and feral rods. I'd rather have it slightly blade heavy on my index finger. I bought a basket weave leather sheath on Amazon for it it deserves something prettier than the kydex. Great cowboy tanto😂

Have one love it but you must sand /deburr the jimping the guard and the choil they are way too sharp

@@amyfraser5316 Had this in Jade for a couple years now and first thing I did was soften the choil and jimping, way too sharp you can file the back of the blade somewhere for feral rods and scraping

I think that finger choil is probably a weak point. It would probably break there if you ran over it with a bus. If you don't do something like that I am sure it will take all you throw at it. Awesome review Gruggs. Still carrying the Finman until my next knife turns up.

Specs for blade thickness on Amazon are incorrect (3.5mm) - my calipers measure at 4.33 mm (that’s 0.17”)
