I wanted to honor Scooby doo by staying very true to the source material. As funny as fnaf and it’s dark lore can be, I wanted this to be appropriate for the younger fans of both FNAF and Scooby doo alike, because I feel like that’s what Scooby doo is all about! Introducing younger kids to horror and mystery and proving you don’t need excessive gore to make a compelling, dark and mysterious story!

@@Vvix0 In this version, there is no mention of the infamous murders and William Afton didn't suffer from the springlock failure, that would cause his body to be destroyed (+ Velma remove the head piece just fine). Becuase of this, there is simply no reason for blood to be there! You could even theorise it as Afton trying to scare away customers, by making it look like it's blood.

Kept expecting it to get 'ironically gory' or edgy or something but instead it was an unironic straightforward emulation of old school Scooby Doo episode writing - which was charmingly refreshing. What an impressive project, all made in Blender. I knew about worthikids's Rankin Bass style stop motion blender vids, but the CG artifice of this this was so well hidden I didn't even know this was Blender until I saw the video description.

@@halal_spider9722 The creator answered that but basically, Eagan wanted to create a horror animation that anyone could watch, especially the children since both Fnaf and Scooby-Doo have fans of all ages. Honestly, this is a breath of fresh air. Not only he stay true to the Scooby Doo animation (no really, damn, everything was on point, and the stop motion only added to its quality), but he also gave his own spin to the Fnaf side, turning into an old-school cartoon for kids (oh the nostalgia!). Nothing against the distorted/horror content around KZbin, there is plenty of high-quality content out there. But the thing is, the majority of it, barely asks if the viewer is 18+, and this is a problem for young ones. Don't forget about the fake kids channels too, sickening.

In other words the animator didn’t have to go so hard on the finer details but he did anyway and I have respect for that. @@TheManinBlack9054 huhh?? I think you're talking about security breach because the older games are DEFINITELY not kid friendly. The main antagonist (Purple Guy/William Afton) kills dozens of children and stuffs them into robot animal suits, and then he accidentally kills himself in a springlock suit (which makes your blood drown your voice out out your body as mechanical parts replace your actual organs, so you can't scream for help.) There's also other deaths such as Elizabeth (Afton's daughter) being shoved inside her favorite robot's stomach(said robot was meant to kill kids, which Elizabeth didn't know) and Elizabeth teaming up with 3 other robots to try to kill Afton, but they ended up killing her older brother Michael and didn't realize it. Also, Michael accidentally killed his younger brother (The crying child from FNaF 4) by shoving his head into his favorite animatronic's jaws, which was supposed to be a prank but the robot bit C.C's frontal lobe off. TLDR: There's tons of bloody and gruesome deaths in the FNaF franchise in general, and that's why it's rated 12+

As someone who’s seen most of the Scooby-Doo media out there, this is probably one of the best fan projects I’ve ever seen to come out of this franchise. They got the atmosphere and writing down flawless and feels like it jumped straight out of the original Where Are You series. The added bonus of it being animated in the Rankin-Bass stop motion style is just icing on the cake, it also pulls the look off flawlessly and genuinely feels like it could’ve jumped right out of the early 70s. I can’t even tell if it’s actual Stop-Motion or CGI so if that isn’t high praise I don’t know what is. I didn’t mind the AI voices of Fred, Daphne, and Velma all too much because I can understand why that was done. Then there’s the fact that this is a FNAF crossover and if I had to nitpick anything, I would say that the fact that SpringTrap is the monster of the week doesn’t really amount to anything interesting because this short doesn’t explore a lot of interesting thing within the FNAF canon in the short 11 minute runtime. Maybe if it were 22 minutes long like a classic Scooby-Doo episode, it could do more with the FNAF elements, but I’m just nitpicking because animation is very taxing. So yeah, I adored this more than most modern official Scooby-Doo media and it’s beyond faithful to the original Hanna-Barbara tone of Scooby-Doo and the style of Rankin-Bass all at once. Banger work, you knocked it out of the park

The Scooby Doo formula is so ironed out, basically the only reason this is shorter is because a lot of the episode exposition is sped up and the "middle" of the episode between commercials where Scooby and Shaggy first get chased by the monster was blended into the resolving chase and team B didn't get their cluefinding portion. Add in a trap explanation and failure and boom, feature length episode.

Yup. The deviantart mspaint anti ai crowd, wanting to get people to their cause tried to get voice actors to lash out at small time creatives under the banner of anti ai, mspaint, voice or not. There are legitimate concerns i don't want to spend too much time repeating. But yeah, im a pro hobbyist, and i love to see hobbyist use of people using it to make their dreams that otherwise couldn't be feasible come true! The problem is, a lot of the hate crowd is very self focused. When someone creates something without them, they don't think. "Wow, that's cool, im so glad it was possible for them." they go. "AI IS THEFT! IT SHOULD BE ME, I WANT TO BE PAID 1000$S OF DOLLARS, WITHOUT DOING ANY WORK, AND MY 0.25$ VALUE MSPAINT ART SHOULD BE WORTH 40000$", i jest. But that's about the tempature somedays. Thankfully it cools down. It stems from worries(?) i think about ai replacing them, making it harder for the voice actors or artists in their first entry level 1-4 years of development (when everyone's art, is admitably developing), to have a rough start or less bites. But yeah, most of it is just morals based on whatever is most financially convenient to them. Many anti ais will have no hypocrisy alarm in saying along the lines of. 'making a image, that used no labor, had no 1:1 copy, but was made by a ai and competes for attention is stealing, BUT PIRACY IS MORAL! BECAUSE the people who MADE IT don't deserve money from struggling artists like us!' It's a strawman for a jest. But there are real fears about being replaced. But a lot of the time, it feels like some of the morals correspond to whatever is most financially convenient. They wanted to attack a small time creator and harass them with a group of 50-500. It backfired though as 7000-200,000 people came to defend them in a almost 99% support ratio. That isn't to say that their fears are (entirely) misplaced. If ai was ever 1000% commercially adopted, expectations vs reality (enabling projects of our dreams!) vs (doing a break for cheap, lazy execs to shit out the lowest quality products (etc: velma, Boobwoman without a personality "movie stars" #47, racist or uncalled for genderbends after the well written black panther made money. (Hollywood: MAKE SHAGGY BLACK, MAKE VELMA BLACK, MAKE EVERYONE BLACK! YOU'RE A BLACK, YOU GET TO BE BLACK, EVERYONE GETS TO BE BLACK!). is rather tasteless. Hollywood, frankly, doesn't always care much about a good product. Chatgpt has already shown they'll fire good(?) writers for a product CLEARLY not made for it. Chatgpt, even as a pro tech / ai person. Has critical holes in it's memory. 2-4 pages or not, it doesn't write fulfilling 30-500 page relevations or long plot development. And yet hollywood has shown it'll attempt to fire people and undercut wages and strikers with unregulated corporate ai to make the human more disposible, while the hobbyist is just trying to do the best feasible work within (feasible means). That's the thing, i understand how people have a real and very legitimate concern over being replaced or the worker rights relationship to unhindered corp ai. But 90% of reality vs expectations seems hate for small time creators and hobbyists, while they bend down to lick the feet of the corps stepping over them as they grovel at their feet and lick them to get their table scraps. It's honestly disgusting. They'd rather bite the people that are kind and speak kindly, than the people who'd starve them for amusement or to save 1% of income.. but give them their food bowl with a team of lawyers and corp paychecks on their side.

Eagan Tilghman should be nothing but proud. The talent and artistry on display here is inspiring, the pastiche is spot-on, the stop motion aesthetic is so incredible I sometimes couldn't tell if it was real or CG, and the use of AI should be seen as an example of the potential of ethical uses of a new tool that could mean so much for making projects like this possible. This is the same thing that happened when they said Adobe Flash would kill real animators and that all motion tweening is bad, just a massive overcorrection for the fear of a new technology that could be used incorrectly in the wrong hands, directed at somebody who doesn't deserve it.

This is where the air-quotes "discourse" over A.I has reached. People have made it a black-and-white, "with us, or against us" issue. So some kid on KZbin using A.I in his hobby project, is no different from Disney going to a voice actor's house, stabbing them to death while they sleep, and fucking their corpse. Also, people had the same reaction to cameras back when they were invented. There's even art from the period depicting everyone flocking to photography studios, while artists have hung themselves.

If your response to people using AI is that you think they should encourage other people to work for exposure, then you have lost the plot on the ethical argument.

Personally, I’m fine with some people using AI if it’s for the sake of experimenting (such as song covers or character generators to get ideas from) or if cutting corners is necessary. Where I draw the line is when AI is used as an outright substitute for genuine quality. This guy falls under the former category, and it still turned out pretty well.

@@Kosher3864 have you not seen the view counts on this dudes other videos? 10-12k max. I think the use of resources here was incredible for what it was seeing as this is a relatively small channel. Sorry you weren't as impressed as me I guess lol. AI isn't some omnipotent big bad all the time. Additionally, this project is literally not monetized. It's not like some 5 extra voice actors aren't feeding their children because this video exists. It isn't their IPs, or their music or their anything but animation work. I also gotta say that I’m happy to see that there are still people out there that enjoy stop motion animation, and are willing to take the time and effort to learn how to do it. So many of the great holiday shows from the past were done in stop motion animation, and it’s good to see that you’re keeping that tradition alive.
