I see your point and would tend to agree, but by employing ratios this would be equivalent to the median American spending $5/night at a hotel. The "problem" with a $1B net worth is you can't spend the money fast enough, so a rich person's perception changes on things like this that would normally be considered a waste of money.

Awesome video! I liked that Las Vegas hotel the most. I'm surprised no hotels from Dubai or Arabia were on the list seeing how many rich folks live there from the oil companies. When I travel, the city attractions are what I would spend more money on. I mainly go to hotels to unpack, relax and sleep.

My wife and I have a rule, never spend more on a hotel room than you make in a day. To follow our rule you need to bring in over 37mil a year to sleep at many of these.

That makes sense. That's why I commented to another person that wanted Alux to do a list of luxury but affordable and I told that person that affordable is relative based on what you make. That's why for me personally a hotel that's 300 a night is expensive to me but at the same time it's still relatively affordable/achievable and I personally like to vacation somewhere at least 5 days so I'm talking 300 a night @ a 5-night stay.

Affordable is relative though depending on how much you make. For me 300 a night @ a 5 day stay is expensive but at the same time still relatively affordable/achievable.

These prices are ridiculous...those luxury suites are part of marketing and never sell for the stratospheric prices you give, they accomodate stars or heads of state as an upgrade because there are lots of rooms used for the delegation , or are booked for corporate events... the one in Vegas is used by the management as a marketing tool for high end gamblers ....anyway you can easily stay in most of these places for a few hundred dollars a night. And some of them are going to be cheaper than ever right now !

No 5 Raj palace?? Never heard of that hotel. No 5 should be Rambagh palace hotel in Jaipur. Rambagh is the former residence of Maharaja of Jaipur. which has been converted into hotel now. celebrities like Sharon stone has stayed there. This is probably first time I disagree with Alux.
