I was addicted to scented candles- Yankee! I have had to eliminate them in the home. Instead I now enjoy battery operated flicker candles for the aesthetic.

Im currently having ENT investigations due to an onset acute sinusitis since February just awful on top of other issues and menopause. I loved singing, but boice has changed, and im very nasally. In my 50s now. I find lozengers are very helpful to have aroung for a variety of reasons (swallowing & saliva production) and good peppermints!

In the UK. Going to high street pharmacies for ear tests etc is now like being ripped off with more chemical prescriptions. £80!to syringe an ear! I've been advised gargling Himalayan salt is the best you can do to kill off bad mouth bacteria, help with reflux/pnd etc as salt targets the cell. I'd recommend an air purifier in bedroom too.

I am in the perimenopause to menopause transition, and this increase in thick mucus has been my worst symptom because it affects my asthma. I've had to increase my lung medications from one medication to three!! The mucus is just so thick I can't clear my lungs effectively. I really hope this doesn't last forever.

Hi Eileen, unrelated question but I've been getting severe pain in my big toe, into my whole foot and radiating up my lower leg past week or so.... Its really sore.. At night past Yr or so my feet burn up which I know is menopause symptom.. My fingers painful past Yr too on and off but not as severe pain as my toes and feet, left one worse!! I'm nearly 2yrs without period do in post menopause, is the painful big toes etc a symptom or shud I go to gp?? Thank u do much, I rely on ur wisdom yrs now. Kind regards Sinéad x

Mum has been post menopause for 30 years still gets hot flushes occasionally and her sinuses are terrible definitely think plantago could help her.
