Thanks for these reviews. I have the original 1st gen earfun true wireless earbuds. 3 years in and they are still going great. I am going to upgrade to the air pro 4 after your reviews. For me I don't need anything fancy and for the price I think this company does a good job.

Thanks for another great review mate! I bought these as soon as I saw them on Amazon just over a week ago (they sold out the next day). I had previously thought about the Air Pro 4 but then these came up for $18 US less and still had LDAC. Though I'm still testing them, I totally agree with your positive comments on fit, great ANC for the price, minor occlusion and a great app with VERY flexible control options. Sound is good, though at this stage, I admit I'm still fiddling with the EQ. What I'm not impressed with is: although Earfun allows for single bud use with ANC or transparency, its single channel stereo rather than mono (not sure if its the same with the Air Pro 4). Secondly, the "pebble" style case limits the use of XL tips like the Spinfit Omni XL, however I find the largest tips (of the 4 sets provided by Earfun) to be perfectly adequate. Lastly, as you pointed out, the case scratches far too easily - but that's just minor asthetics IMO. Keep up the good work; I look forward to those two upcoming reviews you mentioned!
@ReganCipherАй бұрын
Thanks mate, excellent little summary there! Yeah the Air Pro 4 are the same in single mode. I hadn't tried the case out with different tips, but the case shape is one of those that isn't too forgiving of extra depth so it doesn't surprise me. Thanks again for the support! 👍

Would be SO nice to see your review of the Nothing Ear (a), since you've covered almost all the other major models under $100. These reviews are wonderfully comprehensive.

@@ReganCipher Great news - looking forward! I'm doing my own subjective testing of the Earfun Pro 4 and Nothing Ear (a) now. There just doesn't seem to be an ideal bud that combines musicality, call functionality, ANC, intuitive and comprehensive controls along with a solid app at this price point (a big ask, admittedly). I find myself reaching for the Ear (a)s more than the Pro 4s. Despite the latter's terrific case, more intuitive controls and comprehensive app, the former seems to (my ears, at least) have more open, musical sound, and better mics (others hear me better, and I sound less muffled on calls). Curious what your results are!
@ReganCipherАй бұрын
@marcjacobi8938 nice little summary there, thank you! I agree, none of them have quite got the ideal all-round package yet. Will be interesting to see how the Nothing fare, you're not the first to say good things about them. My next comparison is for semi in ear buds with ANC, so Apple Airpod 4 ANC vs Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 vs Huawei FreeBuds 5 vs Soundpeats Air5 vs QCY HT10. After that, I'll be hitting the 'Best ANC under $100 Part 2' and hopefully have refunds for all the buds I've sent back to Amazon to buy new ones 🤣

Thank you for another interesting review, i'm curious in term of the sound imaging and vocal , how does it compare to qcy melobud pro?
@ReganCipherАй бұрын
Thank you! If you pause the video on 06:03 you can see the scores for different aspects of the sound. I scored Melobuds Pro marginally higher on imaging and both the same on midrange. Even looking at the measurements, they basically have the same tuning approach from 1kHz onwards. The Earfun have a bit more subbass whereas the QCY have more emphasis on the midbass: regancipher.squig.link/?share=Harman_2019_IE_v2_Target,QCY_Melobuds_Pro_ANC,Earfun_Air_2_NC

this or melobuds pro ?

For sound, check the audio league table 06:03 in this video. For ANC league table 11:26. Melobuds Pro has some features (like in-ear detection) that Air 2 NC doesn't. I find Air 2 NC slightly more comfortable with the stock tips, but the case is worse than the QCY. Air 2 NC has slightly better battery life

Curious about how these would stack up against the similarly priced (or maybe slightly cheaper) dual driver Edifier W260 NC?
@ReganCipherАй бұрын
I am too - haven't tried the w260 yet, sadly Edifier don't send me stuff any more 😭
@John-q5y6oАй бұрын
@@ReganCipher Too bad, Edifier has put out some solid products. Not too sure if the W260 NC is another one of those, but I haven't come across any notable reviews yet. Maybe that's an indication that you aren't the only one they haven't sent them out to. They seem to have dual dynamic drivers similar to my SP Engine 4 (which I love but find I need to refit a bit too frequently). Of course that's just similar type transducers and I know there's a lot more electronics, ergonomics and tuning that goes into generating good sound out of TWS earbuds, so absent a few reputable reviews...well there's plenty of other competitive products worth consideration.

So far for clear call quality which tws is best under $50?
@ReganCipherАй бұрын
You're not going to get clear calls for less than $50, not even close. The Realme Buds Air 6 Pro are ok, as are the QCY Melobuds Pro, but for clear calls in noisy environments you need bone conduction mics and that puts the price up. That's one reason why Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 and Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are more expensive - they have superior tech that justifies the price. Airpod 4 are also crazy good on iOS (but terrible on Android)

@TanerAybarАй бұрын
@@ReganCipherjust saw your message, and yes it's all back! A bit late though as I already ordered Ht10's, and pleasantly surprised by the ANC (the reason I got them for, semi-in-ears with ANC). My only gripe is I need to disable and re-enable ANC every so often to get it back to work at its best. Because I think Ht10 doesn't listen and adapt constantly, but only learns the noise profile at activation. Do Moondrop Space Travel work in the same way? Do you find yourself having to disable and re-enable ANC? I am considering them too as ANC is very important for me. Thanks :)
@ReganCipherАй бұрын
@TanerAybar you know Moondrop Space Travel is in-ear right? The ANC on them is pretty weak but it isn't adaptive and it doesn't rely on in ear detection sensors so might be ok for you. I just tested Moondrop Moca today and the ANC is really impressive - they cost a bit more but it blows the Space Travel away
@TanerAybarАй бұрын
@@ReganCipherthanks for the answer^^ I could compromise with In-ears if the ANC is considerably better but I think you're saying it isn't a giant step-up from HT10s to MSTs. Moca is currently out of my budget but will keep in mind in the future. Are you going to do a review of Moca with binaural samples? I'd love to see how it compares to MST
