I think this is a great cover, it features Steve Martin on second banjo, Albert Lee, Vince Gill, and Randy Scruggs on guitars, Marty Stuart on mandolin, Jerry Douglas on dobro, Leon Russell on organ, Gary Scruggs on harmonica, and Paul Shaffer on piano.

@@SaeedReacts., it is just possible that you half-recognize Vince Gill as having been a part of the soft-rock/country group Pure Prairie League and, I should think, rather more possible that you vaguely recognize Jerry Douglas as the co-host, with Aly Bain, of the BBC's / RTE's Transatlantic Sessions. (And for those wondering what the hell a dobro is, that's the trade name of the steel resonator / slide guitar invented by the Dopjera Brothers to stand up to the Big Band sound of jazz and swing from the '20s through the '40s.)

Earl Scruggs used to play with the duo of Flat (Lester) and Scruggs. They first recorded the theme "The Ballad of Jed Clampett" of the TV show "Beverly Hillbillies."

Earl Scruggs is an innovator of a new stile of banjo picking. He was born and raised about 5 miles from where I live. Very famous North Carolina son. Vince Gill is playing the electric guitar and Leon Russell is os the keyboard. Thanks for the great reaction!

It is my first time seeing this video. Thank you so much for presenting it. This music is simply fun. You smile when you hear it, your foot taps keeping the beat. And all these popular musicians doing their thing just makes it that much happier to watch. Great stuff.

The grey beard playing the organ was the late, great Leon Russell. ❤ Steve Martin's banjo playing goes way back. I remember him doing stand-up in the late 60s with a fake arrow thru his head and a banjo. He would play little banjo riffs between jokes. What a Wild and Crazy guy! 😂

The Earl Scruggs banjo was made by Gibson. They haven't made banjos since 2010 when the factory was destroyed by a flood on the Cumberland River. A Scruggs banjo is about $5000 if you want one.

Bluegrass is a strictly American musical invention, characterized by technically complex acoustic instrumental solos. Bluegrass refers to a type of grass that's common in Kentucky. This style of banjo picking was invented by Earl Scruggs, the old man leading this group. This song is his composition, and was made famous as the theme song of the movie Bonnie & Clyde in 1968. There were other styles before him. Bluegrass arose from Appalachian folk music in the 1940's with several groups, and has had a real revival lately, with new stars like Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle. All bluegrass players have to be phenomenal instrumentalists to make it in that world.

This bluegrass music "Foggy Moutain Breakdown" was very famously featured in the 1967 blockbuster movie "Bonnie and Clyde" Starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway as real life Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow and their crime gang. The movie is based on true stories about the couple's bank robbing crime spree in middle America in the 1930s Depression years. This music was played as backup for their daring police chases. In the movie they were made folk heroes, but the end the law caught up with them and used machine guns to shoot them and their car to pieces to end their crime spree. That car still exists. This video has chase scenes with Foggy Mountain Breakdown in it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYq7dJ2GnNCnh68 Ending:
