Thank you! I needed to understand the twin-stick and you helped explain it. My PO owned my 72 for 15 years and he also owns an oil rig maintenance company with all of the associated professional equipment. He did everything right. No nickles under the rhino lining. Thank God!!

Don’t forget to drop the radiator, to compensate for the body lift. I built drop brackets for my shroud, and left my rad in stock location. Good springs will make a huge difference. All of the Bronco houses offer some good ones. BC Broncos (a Texas company) has Deaver, WH, JBG, Toms and Duffy’s (what James Duff was called when I started fooling with EB’s). I’ve bought from all of them, and they’ve all been good to me over the years. Bilstein for shocks. The Duff and Cage long arms are fantastic. The stock bumpers and nerf bars will be torn off quickly on the trail. Plan on new ones. 1/4” Rocker panels are a good idea. Gilmer (Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area) is right up the road from y’all, or plan a trip down to Mason, and visit Katemcy Rocks and really test it out.

I like a 1" body lift and there is nothing wrong with a 2" unless you keep the stock bumpers then there will be a noticeable gap looking at it from the front or back...you'll see that gap between the bumper and body. Not a deal breaker, but something to consider if you're keeping the stock bumpers. Rock on guys!

Just make a 'relocation bracket' out of rectangular steel. Or better yet a custom bumper front & rear. With winch provision. Depending on type of wheeling, make it a quick-disconnect with 2" receiver front & rear and 350A quick connect batt connectors (Anderson connectors) to power the winch. www.waytekwire.com/products/12/Anderson-Connectors/&Amps=350A

Make note of the problem you just found and continue on with the job you are doing. Add the new thing to the list. Would stick with the two inch body lift to start, unless you need more for tire clearance. The lower center of gravity from not jacking the suspension will help your butts feel happy out in the toolies. We used Bronco's for work trucks out here on the coast with factory suspensions and never got skunked trying to wheel in anywhere.

OK, @ end now, U just asked abt suspension mod. As U know (I alluded to in my last comment) APPLICATION is every answ to any automotive Q. W A Y more important in a multipurpose vehicle (can't do any 1 thing well, duz several things only OK. That's Y the bronco customizing). I don't know ur end use (IDed by 80% of operation RPM and driving conditions). U kept the D20 (twin sticked it) so I assume no heavy 4WD. The AOD so some good open hwy runs - I'd say 1 inch BL, 2, 2.5 SL. Progressive coils up frnt, Deaver (I C U use Duff stuff so some of his) or other leafs w/the 2, 2.5 lift in them, but of a softer, modern 11 pac construction, a Bilstien 51, 5200 at each corner. U mentioned a soft top a few episodes ago (not since) but I'd say Best Top might do it. Join an online Bronk club, Learn what the doz bronk vendors are, peruse the forums asking in a due diligence pre-buy so U get what wrks 4 U (no more impulse buys). Thnx 4 taken me on ur adventure. Have fun, B very safe (shop or drive) AND productive~
