Dana 20’s are sneaky... Mine didn’t leak until I cleaned it like y’all did. Had to put seals in it. That layer of crud was holding it all in. LOL You’re gonna love the twin stick on the trail. Look at the Painless harness when y’all rewire. They really have a nice product, and it’s not just a generic, they built it in a Bronco. Centech would be my second choice. Painless is a Texas based company too.

Good to see some one else doing this. I am in the process. Take a good look at the transmission pan clearance to the front drive shaft. It will hit when you bounce your suspension. i had to notch the pan and re-weld it. Good luck, looks good so far.

A Great Episode Guys, some tradesman advice for you both, have noticed several times, that you both have called using a Vernier Calipers, as micrometers, or miking as a term of use, the. Better term is a Measurement! Also Emily good work with the OXY set,my advice here is regarding use of a file, don't push and Pull,a file only cuts in one direction, so a Push controlled cut is better for saving damage to teeth on file, another filing trick,is to break all files in first on softer metals,eg.brass/Aluminium& clean regularly during use with a file brush?keep up the great content and much love from your friendly Queensland Australia, tradesman, bullockydave?

So what's actually inside it? Which overdrive servo? I'm assuming it's all stamped steel drums? Late style.. What clutches.. kolene? Valve body? I'd worry about some frictions (like blue plates) because without the power they can glaze up.. I just got done with a rebuild for a like 400 HP 306 so I went with raybestos stage 1s.. then my ss direct clutch has 8 plate kolene and alto red eagles.. Kevlar bands and went with a sonnax super hold servo .. (which they advertise as the strongest so I'm assuming it's got more clamping than even a superior brand super servo) you Kevlar should be used with stronger springs.. my shafts spin so hopefully it goes okay lol

Good to see some progress on the five-oh Ronco. I feel like I could learn a heck of a lot if I wrenched with you and Aaron for a day. That Gearstar trans can handle a heck of a spankin'. The Dana 20 seems a little underpowered compared but unless you're putting 40s and tons under the Ronco, it should be just fine for your average off road adventure. I do recommend putting some ARB air lockers in the front and rear axles though 'cause lockers come in real handy in a pinch Curious though, and I ask 'cause I ain't much of a Ford guy, why'd you go with an AOD instead of a C6? What's the difference? is the AOD electronically controlled?
